Centreline Watts Scully Wall
Er Scully playing twos this week?

Can all those who have coached at the AFL level please put your hand up.
I've said it before and I will say it again
"I don't think anyone knows what Bailey gameday tactics are, apart from him and his coaching team.
I am not going to second guess him or try to attempt to analyse it as I am in no way qualified to do so and I am guessing that there are quite a few people on these boards who are also in the same boat.
Fact is it's the first game of the year, Bailey has his extension and people should get behind the team and stop whining."
This thread is opinion based yes, but it seems also to be based on a low pressure system inside a porcelain drinking container.
First Round of 2010 after coming in last for 2008 & 2009 and we lose to the 2008 Premiers.
My question is:
Are our expectations too high?
We lost by 56, which flattered us, were not competitive for much of the game. I don't think anyone was expecting a win but i think it's fair for us to expect alot more!!

I hope you're right, I really do - but from what I have seen of Watts he is very, very slow over those first 5 metres...and big lads don't get faster. Natanui has flair.
At the time of his testing, Watts had the fastest time ever over 20 meters for a non-aboriginal...i don't think pace will be an issue, just needs to pick up the pace of the game.

Yeah. Davey, Buckley and Richo good examples of players who never lived up to their potential with dodgy hammies.
Relax turbo. You're not a doctor, stop acting like one.
Let's all relax, as far as i can see he made no medical prognosis.

That's the spirit. In the absence of any news expect the worse. Man some people here need to take some valium.
It's a bit pessimistic, but not far off the mark, lets be honest if he has another hammy injury then one would have serious concerns for his future.

If we are suggesting that Scully and Trengove are not going to pass the ball to each other because of some alleged competition between the two then we are doomed.

Didn't grimes only narrowly miss out on being voted into the leadership group this year? After less than 20 games?
Touted for his leadership at under-age level and has shown alot both on and off the field in such a short period of time, I think comparisons with McLean are unfair to him.
Demons warned on draft tampering

I can only assume that either GWS or GC would meet with Viney before that made a nomination that could commit them to taking him with pick 1 or 2. Surely all that needs to happen then is that young Jack tells them he is keen to stay in Victoria and if they draft him he would seek a trade back to Vic and the end of the standard 2 year deal.
There is no way either club would risk that happening, Jack can slip to us in the second round and the AFL has no grounds (or proof at least) to accuse us of draft tampering, a quiet word from Todd to Jack at the dinner table would be hard for even the world police at the AFL to investigate.
