The Aker article on it's own is not that sensational. A professional sportsperson saying that they believe they have competed against people on drugs is pretty ho-hum. Ian Thorpe and Grant Hackett have both said something similar in the past. And Aker is right to highlight the inadequacies of the drug-testing programme. 500 tests a year for 600+ plus players doesn't quite work out. ASDA is a joke. If they question Aker then they've got to ask every player in the AFL. And Aker was stupid to name a player knowing that it could be leaked and ASDA was stupid ask him. The first question that they should have asked him was, "What evidence have you got?" If the answer is none then there's no need to ask any further questions. How and why it was leaked is another matter worth discussing. The name was leaked very quickly...

Building the right corporate environment is the job of the CEO not the coach. Past flags indicate an ability...in the past! Look at the recent Premiership coaches. Worsfold, Roos, Williams. All won flags in their first AFL coaching appointments. He ain't gunna coach Essendon next year. Nor Carlton. Freo aren't looking at him the coaching role. Only club that might want his is Richmond and that's all emotion based. Why take someone no one else wants? When your neighbour puts out his rubbish, you don't collect it!

I'm sorry but Travis Johnstone simply does not do enough. His work rate is just not there. He is one of a number of blokes we've got who just happy being an AFL footballer.

Let's remember a few things. 1. Publicity doesn't win flags. If it did then Barassi would still be coaching Melbourne. 2. Past flags don't mean future flags. If it did then Barassi's 5 year plan would have reaped a massive harvest from 81 onwards. It didn't. Essendon's form is almost as bad as Richmond's and Melbourne's. No other club wants Sheedy so why should we? He's all hype and hot air and has run out of substance.

Make that Aquamax Hot Water thanks to Sheedy! He just wants to keep his profile high so he can sell more hot water systems.
