  1. I have no problem with him consistently using the same lines. GEDDIT?!?

    KPF

Two quick points: First, I think we'd go inside 50 more if we had a long option to kick to. Second, unless we were getting a good option for free/little cost, I wouldn't go for the recycled KPF option - we have prospects on our list, so let's develop them..
  3. Like Morton sits in at match committee. Anyway, it's a cliche used to praise Bartram's endeavour. I reckon most - perhaps you - would agree that if the rest of the players had displayed a similar level of competitiveness this year we'd be far happier about the season.
  4. Would Lloyd have picked the vision?
  5. If we're not replacing Tapscott with someone who can deliver the footy from defence then we're robbing Peter to pay Paul.
  6. Hard to judge when he looks, to me, like he's clearly injured. I bet the bye can't come quickly enough, but we'd probably want to play a half-fit Jurrah in the run of games versus Fremantle, Richmond and WB.
  7. +1 It's not like we haven't played Jamar deep plenty of times before. It doesn't mean we're turning him into a permanent forward who helps out in the ruck.
  8. Thanks. The unavailable list: Mark Jamar (knee) - test Luke Tapscott (hamstring) - test Neville Jetta (hand) - 2 weeks Rohan Bail (knee) - 2-3 weeks Kelvin Lawrence (quad) - 2-3 weeks Michael Newton (foot) - 4 weeks Jack Fitzpatrick (ankle) - 4-6 weeks Aaron Davey (knee) - 5 weeks Austin Wonaeamirri (personal) - indefinite Jack Grimes (foot) - season Jake Spencer (knee) - season ~5 of our best 22 on the unavailable list.
  9. The 'outs' can't comprise Nicholson because he didn't play on Monday! Great stuff.
  10. Before the game I advocated for Bartram's inclusion so I'm with you there, but I would have thought Evans was the one to replace. +1 I'd very much like to see Blease debut and wouldn't be surprised if he comes in very soon. I'm also unsure about Tapscott coming straight back in, hence listing him fourth, but I see him as in our 2011 best 22. Nicholson was replaced by Bartram, remember. Swap Nicholson with Evans and I'm with you, though.
  11. I'd go down the list in roughly this order: Jamar (fit?) Garland (fit?) Petterd Tapscott (fit?) I'd also like to know what's up with Nicholson.
  12. The second option is written as though it would be better served as the middle of a five-point scale.
  13. It depends on how we define 'that bad', but Green has - IMO - had a poor season.
  14. Players seem to change so much during games, let alone during a season or career, that it's hard to nail down. It's not like the discussions we might have had when Neitz and Schwarz were going around, in which there seemed to be more consistency of roles, and discussions going back further than that in which players generally kept to a position. Add that to the fact that Cook hasn't debuted and Howe has only played a couple, and thus it's tough to have much great insight into those guys unless you've been getting to Casey games regularly, and it makes it even tougher. That said, Jurrah predominantly close to goal seems the way to go, although his delivery into the 50 can be very good. Cook seems to be suited to pushing up the ground and playing as a lead-up 'CHF' type, based on what I've read of his Casey adventures. I would have thought Howe might be nice playing a bit closer to goal, while I'm not sure about Watts. If he was to play a CHF-type role I'd like to see him kicking the ball longer when he wins the footy on a lead, whereas his preference now seems to be shorter kicks. As others have said, I agree that having a tall target deep would be nice. DB has also said this, so I'm sure we'll see it a bit in future - particularly if Martin can at least provide a contest deep in the way that someone like Ben Holland did.
  15. Assuming GWS will be similar to GWS, GWS will be doing worse than we are. We might have got spanked by Collingwood, but you might be forgetting we also belted GC by about the same margin (and Adelaide too).
  16. I don't think we'd have a problem fitting those four into the forward line. As you've said, there's plenty of scope for flexibility. It'd be a nice problem to have, so let's hope we have to worry about it at some point in the future
  17. Top hit on google for the search 'bailey focus on football on-field', so not much effort at all
  18. Here's an article written before the season started: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/demons-face-their-future/story-e6frf9jf-1226019327435
  19. As far as I know, the shift was before the season started. Schwab didn't stop using twitter at the start of the year.
