  1. Sorry guys, I'll try and be more discreet in future.
  2. Eddie's comments make me laugh. As if any Collingwood supporter needs an external factor to 'go feral'
  3. Dear Demonland, I heard from a very reliable source (Judd's Grandmother, if you must know, and talking of sources she's certainly saucy!) some top secret info about some good stuff going on...but I can't tell you about it. Anyway, just thought you'd like to know! I knew that you'd understand that you can't actually know anything. Take this as you see fit! Love, Rogue XoXo.
  4. I agree that it's better than turning the ball over. Where did I say it wasn't? (Hint: Nowhere). What I pointed out is that you posting about his disposal efficiency doesn't mean he uses the footy better than others. Virtually anyone in the team would be in the top 5-10 for disposal efficiency if they decided only to make easy kicks. Cool story, bro I don't disagree with this stuff, but maybe you don't like math and avoid anything in brackets? Here it is again, sans brackets: Of course, Bartram offers other things to the team, but I'm specifically addressing your comment on his d/e. Suggesting he's in the top 5-10 for disposal efficiency is just damning him with faint praise. The other stuff is more useful.
  5. Haha, I like it H_T. I heard that the first 100 to purchase get their copies signed by rpfc. Why? This is big news and it's fair enough that supporters want to discuss the issue.
  6. That doesn't mean much. These days he looks for the easiest option, not the best option, because he knows his limitations. Having someone who can't pull the trigger coming out of the backline isn't helpful. (Of course, Bartram offers other things to the team, but I'm specifically addressing your comment on his d/e).
  7. Not much point making spur of the moment decisions based on a game that had part of four innings in one day, but you're not far off on them. Haddin is struggling big time but he's fortunate that an understudy isn't pushing hard right now. (Paine is nursing a broken finger IIRC). Ponting looks like he might be on his last legs; Roebuck or Baum wrote an article on this in the past few days. As for Hughes, I've never been convinced. I think they'll all play next Test, but anyone pushing for their spots probably feels like they're in with a chance (excluding The Kat, of course).

    Daffy

To be fair, that's one player.
  9. It would have been nice if the Test Captain's name was actually Clark. Still, it's Demonland, where posters are constantly mangling player names.
  10. Haha, wowee. Siddle 3rd highest scorer in our first innings, top scorer atm in our second (and likely to stay that way unless Lyon overtakes him).
  11. I better ban you, H_T. It's for our own good
  12. Did Ben Holland ever take any important kicks? Holland lining up for goal was a head-in-your-hands moment, even (especially?) when he was at the top of the goal square.
  13. What a great innings by Clarke. Not only did he score 150, but he did it quickly too.
  14. I don't think DB would have resigned. I wouldn't have been surprised if he even said as much.
  15. How is that any more plausible than some other excluse, like that he panicked and didn't want to get in trouble? I don't see any evidence that Sylvia was thinking of the Club at the time the incident occurred. If he had a track record of looking after Melbourne's image then I might buy it, or if he did something at the time that indicated he was thinking about the Club's image, sure. However, the fact that Melbourne brought up - in their statement on his punishment - the fact that he didn't get in touch with the Club in a timely manner indicates he wasn't.
  16. I know Aussie's like of turtles has been mentioned previously; I'm pretty sure I read it in the press.
  17. He played what looks like the next three Tests following his debut century and was then dropped until 1985, four years later. He played one Test in '85 and another, his sixth, in '87: http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/8198.html?class=1;template=results;type=batting;view=innings
  18. I had no idea who Dirk Wellham was so I checked out Cricinfo. In his first Test he hit 103 (and 24) at the Oval. However, he played a further five Tests (in Australia and England), finishing with a career batting average of 23. He didn't pass 36 in any innings bar his century.
  19. No huge surprise, but I'm a little sad to see Aussie go. No more frog jump...
