It's hard to believe Nicho is a candidate for worst player - he was okay for us.

Why did you think we'd win 50+% of our games? We were primed to have many players in our 22 that are young and inexperienced at AFL level, coupled with experienced players that are over the hill. I don't mean this as a stab at your prediction of our season, but I've thought we were over-rated in '06 and have probably only got worse - when it comes to the here and now, but better for the future - right at this moment. Sure. it might be hurt, but when you say that can't be ignored, what are you suggesting we do? It reminds me of the 'be alert, but not alarmed' terror ads... It's been brought up before, and I totally agree with people not quoting great slabs of text (probably don't need the '....' either, just an empty quotebox). However, the server space taken up by a longer post is so close to nothing it's not worth considering.

I'm not sure that many guys are banging down the door. From the Sandy reports, Buckley was 'hot and cold' - not sure that means he upped his workrate. Perhaps Frawley? Bate played well, but in the 2nds - not ready yet? I don't know whether we'll bring in Maric yet, but it sounds like he put in a decent performance.

It still amazes me to think that people on here - who I expect to be pretty familar with our list and its strengths and weakenesses - refer to 2006 as a time when we were a top team. I felt we were severely over-rated back then, and with hindight I would think everyone'd see that with 20/20 vision. While I think our list is pretty average, we're obviously playing nowhere near our potential. As an aside... I think it's more likely that Buckley was dropped because of his relatively poor workrate when it came to providing an option or running hard when the opposition had the ball.

No doubt the roles were and are clearly defined, yes. I'm not in the inner sanctum, but I haven't heard anything to suggest there's a mutiny, and I doubt CC has realistic aspirations for the head coaching role at this point in time.

I totally agree. However... That wasn't the only thing. His workrate was poor and he needs to improve his efforts, particularly when the opposition have the ball. For a guy whose biggest asset is a decent kick, his disposal has been pretty poor the last two weeks. I agree.

I agree. Btw, I was at the game and the estimate that 75% of attendees were Roos supporters is exaggerated. I'd guess at 60/40. The person I attended the game with put it at 55/45.
