  1. Spot on - they seem confident of 5 mature age/moneyball via free agency possible 4 and a Boak plus the rest kids if it turns out that way. A few things depend on if the Liam situation is taken out of their hands.
  2. Bennell, Jetta, Bate, Dunn, Cook, Davey, Green, Moloney, Jurrah, Petterd, Gysberts, Fitzpatrick. Most delisted with zero trade value and possible trade of a few. All players out of contract have been told free agency has arrived and there are no commitments to anyone until after trade period. All those out of contract bar a couple (Howe) have been told they may be delisted or traded or kept. There's some real hunger around the club right now.
  3. Haha you must know someone on the inside HT!
  4. Well Deeluded you are uncannily thinking like the club. The club sees the need to recruit good players from great clubs who will give us 2-3 years. You are spot on and someone like Chappy will be closely looked at for all the reasons you have mentioned.
  5. Cook has done nothing to warrant a call up. He is not up to Casey let alone AFL at this point.
  6. Fact: Jetta is ready to play after a good showing last week. There are 27 players available for selection at the moment, combined with the fact Neeld is keen to see what Jetta has to offer after not yet having seen him play a game. Hard decisions need to be made at end of this year and he wants to see players who warrant selection.
  7. Think more along the lines of bringing in 5 or 6 mature players will be the goal.
  8. Take as fact if Boak leaves Port, MFC are absolutely in box seat to take him and are focussed on making this happen.
  9. McKenzie out this week with a groin - he played sore with no rotations left on the bench last week, Jetta will get a game so Neeld can have a look at him. The boys honestly believe they can win this week even though there is only 27 on the list available to pick from. Neeld thinks we are a good shot this week.
  10. How have using high draft picks paid off anytime in the last 10 years for us? I accept logically eventually the laws of probability say we might get lucky but high end drafting hasn't proved to be the panacea many thought. That said to get some young talent is always exciting as its the unknown. How many more years can we invest and wait for young talent that may never deliver.
  11. He already signed earlier this year.....
  12. Look I'm no expert but I'm led to believe a combination of lack of $$ and yes the coaches previously accepted this. Styles changed this and has afforded the current coaching regime the basics required to compete on a level playing field off the field.
  13. Look I'm being silly but you seem to take RR seriously when he is being at the very least outlandish...
  14. Seriously you remind me of a young Adam Sandler....seriously funny. Are you doing any shows lately?
  15. In all seriousness I was cracking a joke....apologies for any offence otherwise inferred.... Absolutely wasn't meant like that at all...guess I should stay off these pages.
  16. Seriously trade watts and our first 2 picks next years draft do the deal....
  17. I can speak from my dealings direct with Mark Neeld as I stated in other threads MFC absolutely was miles and miles behind other clubs off field especially when he took over. One example where he had to lobby the board to cough up $$$ to buy software for scientific analysis every single other club has had for years...... RB is spot on the dees thought they were cutting edge when in fact they were so far behind it was a total disgrace.
  18. Give them whatever they want for Cameron....simple
  19. Poach Sheedy Giants fold....get him to the dees as head spruiker
