It would cost twice Spencer's salary to bring in a mature player that's better than he is. I'm disappointed that we didn't have a crack at Callum Sinclair though. He would have complimented Gawn and Hogan perfectly. -

Adding WInes would give us the best midfield in the comp in 3-4 years with the current trajectory

His kicking is similar to Andrew Gaff. Very neat left foot but a tad loopy. -

Bill Brownless - 192cm, 122kg -> Ready to play round one with that logic. -
Parish is a more talented player Oliver is the one you'd dread playing against Parish = Sam Mitchell/Luke Shuey Oliver = Dangerfield/Viney Dilemma

Trengove 2.97, IIRC....

I can't see Curnow being any better as a midfielder than Tom Bell. Both tall with huge tanks, awful haircuts, abhorrent disposal and poor attitudes. I will be very disappointed if we draft Curnow.

So is Parish but he doesn't look as tough because he isn't a big, fat redhead with a face like a Scream mask. -

Clearly having top 20 draft picks is important, as demonstrated by Watts, Toumpas, Trengove, Scully, Morton, Gysberts, Tapscott, Strauss, Blease.... The beep test is the most important test at the combine. Just because you can run, doesn't mean you can play footy but you sure as sh!t can't play footy if you can't run. -

That beep is a disgrace....... Even with recent injuries, he is meant to be preparing to be an AFL player and you'd think he would push himself right to the limit. -
Hopper is the only mid I would take over Parish.

Prestia is a star -
Top tall forwards these days are most often taken in the first round (excluding academy picks, F/S, etc.). We don't have a first round pick next year. Mids can come from anywhere. We are starting to build a deep, talented, young midfield and we most likely have Parish coming in, with Prestia a strong chance in 2016. In terms of tall forwards, we have Hogan, daylight, Dawes, Pedersen, daylight and King. Dawes and Pedersen are older and aren't world-beaters. King is speculative, although the signs are reasonably good. Pick 7 should be used on a tall forward. My preference is McKay due to his capability of being a 2nd ruck and his ceiling may be higher than Weideman due to his age and lack of development.
-
Anyone that tall that can move, kick and bring others in to the play like Harry McKay must be considered. He would be more adept at being a 2nd ruck than Weideman and Curnow and the fact that he is a year younger seals it in my mind. McKay for pick 7.

The fact that he supports Richmond, not Collingwood, is the best thing I've heard about him. I'm a lot keener on him now. -
Poor kicking, a lack of clean hands and the fact that his biggest attribute as a mid is breaking feeble tackles and dishing it off makes me think that he won't cut it as a mid at AFL level. His contested marking is very good and is a big body so I think Darling-lite is what he will end up like.
