  1. SB is AD casin we will Waite to see what happens, then pick him up in psd, there is no point giving anything away for SB,the dees need a long term solution to their list SB will help as next season, and our high picks are for the future if we get him in PSD then it will not effect our rebuilding

We could get him in the PSD but ruining links with Port Adelaide wouldn't help us now or further down the track?

What if the same thing happened to us?

We too would like to think we could get something for 'our' player.

  2. Apparently this rumor has made it's way onto SEN (big deal, but yeah)

Seems absurd though, Brock for 11, 11 for Burgouyne and we lose Jamar... crazy. Especially with even a slim hope of a pathway through the PSD.

Think a few bozzos have just equated the rumor of Davey, Harrington and Burgouyne being seen together and Port's interest in Jamar, thrown in a Pick and Bingo !!

    Crazy talk... surely.

Burgoyne is a hell of a lot better than Brock so don't even throw him in the same category.

Plus, we must have some belief that guys like Meesen & Spencer might step it up a notch.

I rate Jamar but he's in no way shape or form a top Ruckman in the AFL. He's a better forward if anything.

I'm sure we know what we're doing.

I for one wouldn't mind a "big name" to the MFC. Would bring up our supporter base & TV packages.

Plus, I'd like to beat every other club to him if that's alright with you blokes..?

  3. With Dawes at FF, Watts at CHF and Jurrah roaming as the dangerous 3rd tall id be very very very happy to get Dawes.

Would rather pick 34 goes to them but I can handle pick 18 cause I rate him pretty highly.

So, let me get this straight.

Dawes; a late 2nd round pick who hasn't done anything in the 3 years he's been at Collingwood gets traded (in your eyes) to Melbourne (who are trying to cease mediocre football) for a solid pick, of 18 in the draft?

    Pfft, please.

What do you base your "rating him pretty highly" on?

I've seen nothing & let's be honest people, it's not like the Collingwood FC has the most potent forward line.

If Rocca gets a game before him - WE DON'T NEED OR WANT HIM!

    Surely it's a no brainer.

  4. Fevola is a Champion.

We should at least throw our name up there.

Mind you though, a player of that quality wouldn't want to train down Casey Fields or be a part of a suppoerter base such as ours. He's a show man.

Someone Melbourne needs but he does have his bad sides.

    I'd have him though.

  5. For the people who expect Melbourne to improve on this year next year if we trade Aaron Davey, you are surely mistaken.

However, I am a guy who loves the sound of having picks 1, 2, 10, 11, 18 in a draft that will be without a Gold Coast & West Sydney dominated draft.

It won't help Dean Bailey next year of course but will ultimately help the Melbourne FC in the next few years. Unfortunately, as always, I believe we're late in making such trades considering we've bottomed out the past few years. Brock McLean, an up & coming player is gone, & if Aaron Davey goes, that's a lot of youthful experience gone to clubs that are progressing into the top 8.

Melbourne should have made these trades 3 years ago. Not now, you would think.

Next year, we should be on the way up. It's been too long on the bottom & to be quite honest, I'm sick of it. But now, I'm afraid without these two guys out, there's not many indicators for change next year.

With all this said, we have been a mediocre side for a while now & with mediocrity brings a need for a clean out.

I'm neither for or against it at this stage. All I can hope is that we know what we're doing...

Mind you, improvment will happen soon. Next year or the year after we will make big moves up the ladder. Remember, we do have Liam Jurrah.

    Go Dees! Stop.. Jurrah-Time!
