so i just read on facebook this could be essendons next clash strip, how come we have to wear that awful white and they get to just reverse the colours?!?!

I dont mind clash strips if they still consist of your clubs normal colours!! i really dont wanna see white again, it makes it even harder to watch then they already are!

I hope we go after my man Jade Gresham this draft, the kid is absolute freak, ive watched him play since he was 8 years old as i used to play footy with his old man and let me tell you the old man was the hardest footballer ive ever seen! Jades a bit smaller then him but is crazy hard at it, gets his head ripped off every game by the bigger blokes and just gets back up.

think jack viney but quicker and with terrific skills! he has also had an amazing carnival too being in the best in every game his played plus also being the first northern nights indigenous captain

heres the only footage of him on youtube where there is a few skill errors (which is normal when your getting 30+ most games!) but hes work rate and speed and absolute passion for the game is second to none!!

Forgive my quick editing in photoshop, but just wanted to highlight my point of just reversing all teams colours. There'd be no issue with the clash of any strips then. Throw an MFC monogram on this or make the shorts white etc, just think it's pretty simple and keeps our traditional design.

im 28 and we have never looked like doing anything as long as my football memory serves me, making the grand final in 2000 was a fluke as we played the best/biggest upset game of my football life, should of been carl v ess granny, culture must of been shot after the 64 grand final.........

Unlike many of the older fans, I don't hate the royal blue with the red yoke as it was the colours we wore when I started following the Dees. I see no problem with any sides if we wear our traditional jersey for all home games and only change to the royal blue if we are the away side to Essendon or St Kilda!

This issue gives me the sh*ts, they don't need to change the jumpers so dramatically, why we can't we just wear either a reverse of our traditional jumper or our 70's and 80's royal blue version with white shorts (or whatever is less likely to clash!) it's ridiculous, seriously it's common sense!! And even If we are the away team if we are playing a team like Geelong who are a team with white on there strip it's stupid for us to wear white shorts. If we play essendon away obviously our traditional is going to clash, chuck on the royal blue and white shorts, done! Problem solved!

If we are playing the doggies away obviously we wouldn't wear royal blue but guess what our traditional jumper doesnt clash, could use that....

There is always a combination that you can tinker with if the AFL just took a closer look at it

On the plus side at least the home and away jumpers aren't pink this year!!

I don't care what design our jumper takes with the following riders:

• It is only two colours (Red & Blue)
• the 'away' jumper is identical to the 'home' jumper

Collingwood always gets away with not having an 'away' jumper and there are no other Clubs in the 18-team competition who have the same two (red & blue) colour scheme as ours. Add to the fact that we wear different colour shorts to the opposition and red socks there is no way that we could possibly be mistaken if we took a hard line on this. Under the current situation, when we play St. Kilda or Freo, sometimes it is near impossible to distinguish and our 'away' jumper exacerbates the situation.

cant understand why we cant wear the 80's style red and royal blue with white shorts, even go back to the red jumper with blue lining from a few years back, anything is better than watching them get around in all white, barely feels like your watching ur team when in white!!

yes it is funny how both teams have "RED" and have never changed it and always looks red.

I know our away jumper looks pretty similar to the old sth Melbourne jumper but I could cop it if we're the same red and Sydney's, that pinky, maroon colour is awful!

wish they would just use the same red as sydney or essendon, coz they look red.....
