  1. Melbourne football club has no connection to Cranbourne. The ground is at Casey fields.

No need to even venture anywhere near the shopping centre if it makes youy feel dirty.

Our involvement is with Casey. Cranbourne is a very small part of this area.

The undesirerable you speek of wont venture out that far.

The ground and adjoining facilities are way better than anything we have had.

Its a summer training facility not our home.

  2. I hate having to justify not going to games under the tone of not being a real supporter.

I buy my family membership each year nowing my sons footy is anytime on a sunday.

My youngest daughter isnt that interested yet.

My oldest daughter goes to uni, works and isnt always able to go.

But we do what we can to help support the club and it hurt not being there yesterday.

Three families from my junior footy club would have been there had it been played on saterday

  3. My worry is no changes till its too late .

We dont seem to be trying things.

Put players in different positions earlier in the game.

Put Green at full forward one out , Belly on the ball , give Aussie arun off the half back,

Carrol to stand in the forward goalsquare and put it on his head, anything different early.

Forget about rotations, leave Davey on after kicking a inspirational goal.

  4. If you people believe Miller or Carroll were the reason we played like we did yesterday wow you have a bigger problem

than the Melbournefc. The way the football came into there forward line was the problem.

Miller, Carroll and Bell were crucifide by there teamates as much if not more than there Hawk opponents.

At least these three guys were within a metre of there opponents most of the time and were beaten triing

unlike a lot of other players out there.

  5. HellBent i dont think Robbo was doing the comeon i think he was giving the ump a spray.

He was pointing to his temple or eye with one finger and giving it to the ump.

There was definatly no celabrating of goals in the last quarter.

Only once when Morton passed to Green did players go and give Morton a pat on the back for a job well done.

A lot of the players would also be disapointed with there effort today

  6. Lets look at the other side of the coin also.

Last years problem that Garry says need addressing.

    2007 no coach - 2008 solved

2007 no were to train- 2008 Connoly a long way into getting

summer training venue at Casey fields

2007 very small profit- 2008 new CEO new plan

2007 no home -2008 new home starting to be built

These seems to be somethings being done around the place

  7. I think we are all missing the point here .

    speeding is not the issue.

At the weekends family day, Dean Bailey made it very clear that players represent

the Melbourne football club 24 hours a day 7 days a week and should do so in a

manner he has laid out to the whole club.

Brock is not a role model, but if he thinks that he is above the rest of the playing group

then i think under Baileys rule he is a fool.

From reports I have heard he has lost his licence.this doesnt mean from this infringment

alone, it may be from a few infringments, hence he may be a bigger fool.

  8. Moloney said he was fine also. Looking forward to being in the midfield with Col, Brock and Jonsey.

A bit of grunt there, also mentioned the op was better, running easier.

The only player looking proppy was Lyndan Dunne

  9. Dean Bailey told my son that Matty Wheelan and Paul Wheatly should play this weekend at Casey Feilds.

Wheatly said he was right to play against Bulldog but was held back a week. He said it is all soft tissue injuries.

Happened just before christmas. He also hopes to play the following week with Sandy.

Clint Bartrem was also confident he was also playing and hoped to be playing round 1

The person to impress me the most was Chris Connolly, he is so upbeat and easy to talk to.

He will be great for the club. He has come home.

Col Sylvia is pumped about his year ahead.

  10. Just maybee its not who is playing for Melbourne but who they want to be right for Sandy

Get players use to playing with each other going into the final games for Sandy

Player like Ward Goddfrey Brown Miller wont be playing for Sandy in the finals,so dont play them there now.

I think Newton will be the next to go back over the next few weeks. All the young Melbourne players have been making

there way back to the Sandy team, one or two a week. Very clever by Williams and MFC

This says to me that Riley is not selfish as suggested by some.

  11. As a footballer you are born with ability.

today it is not evident, were has it gone.

Endeavour is in the mind, whats going on.

My nine year old son was not born with ability.

But today he showed endeavour and was best on ground, kicking 2 goals in a winning side.

Again I ask whats going on
