Whatever, just make sure no one is tagging Ablett 'cos he is the captain in my dream team.
-
Does it matter?
-
errr, the midfield....
or the lack of one.
-
No big loss for this year.
-
Welcome to the Demonland, Rory!
-
Hell NO !!!! Downhill skier.
Davey and Davis on both HBF can go downhill skiing in tandem.
-
Besides Jones, Frawley and Garland, all of them gone missing when challenged...
-
I would like to see Trenner to run through $cully after the first bounce.

Cale has absolutely no currency on the trade market, the question is whether he has more up side than the third/fourth/fifth round draft pick (depending on how many we delisted).
As much as he frustrated me and you demonlanders, I think we may be better off keeping him. He may end up as another Sylvia "AFL's biggest under-achievers" but at worst we can have a perpetual scapegoat.
-
I would take him in a PSD but not trade.
Trade Morton for him is a better outcome.

Way back in early 2009 the two hottest young prospects were Tom Scully from the Dandenong Stingrays and John Butcher of the Gippsland Power. Scully's star rose throughout the season and he was easily #1 pick at the national draft but Butcher's season was hot and cold and he drifted out to #8 where he was taken by Port Adelaide.
Butcher made his debut at the weekend and was probably his team's only highlight but, like Scully, the kid's out of contract at year's end. And he's a 197cm key position forward!
Now, normally I would say that players such as Butcher would be out of bounds for ethical reasons but if there's one lesson to be learned from this year, it's that any out of contract player is open slather. Butcher is a Maffra boy and we're a club that's reaching out to the Gippsland region via it's association with the Casey Scorpions.
The point that I'm making is that it's time for the club to strike back. Others have been making approaches to our players. Scully, Sylvia. Martin and Gawn have been targets of other clubs. Now's the time for us to get on the front foot.
Let's bring John Butcher back home!
If Butcher is Port's only highlight, why would a team finishing on the bottom of the ladder let him go?

Here ya go ... awesome tackle!! I actually laughed when he did this
Should his nickname be "Koala"?
-
We've gone talls in all of the live picks.

This is not a trading thead as much, rather a KEEPING thread.
He was injury plagued for over than 2 years, but came back this year and play solid footy.
He takes on all but the biggest forward and rarely get beaten.
He reads play very well, sneaks out to the wing and delivers inside 50s.
He is our only rising star winner since the award started in 1993.
With so many senior players delisted and retired, he is one of the senior player in the team.
KEEP HIM!
-
Would you rate him above Trengove?
Given Cotchin's injuries and Trengove's "ready made" status as a player, they would almost start next year on an even footing.
and Jack will be $200K cheaper.
-
Not a chance.
Wouldn't touch him myself. He's already been tainted and would cost more than he's worth.
Totally agree. Former 1st, pick 5 years in the system and only played half a season of good footy in a terrible team.

I had to laugh at whoever suggested Bell and Newton. Two hacks for a young best 22 player. Yes, I'm sure PA will be rushing to sign that one.
:D Yeah! Both are candidate for delisting!
Also wonder where we are going to put him with our long list of up and coming mid-fielders?
Assuming we will have Scully and Trengove, which most agree are the 2 best players in the draft, we will want rucks and tall forwards who can actually kick.
-
Play Miller and Newton in our forward 50 - no one will accuse us of tanking and yet Scully and Trengove will be us.
-
In my opinion, he is an excellent VFL player unable to make the transition to AFL. In the long run, Peter German would be happy to keep him at Casey, because he averages 2-4 goals per game.
Sorry he is just an above average VFL player unable to make it to AFL. How many time do you see him kick a point 30 meters out directly in front? IMO he is just the perfect forward for us in the last three rounds.
-
Michael Newton - Achilles?
Since when did achilles mean crap?
It reads Micheal Newton (is our) Achilles.
-
If we have miller and juice for the entire match in our forward 50 we won't need to worry about who's in-who's out -where they play, and no one will accuse us for tanking.
-
They should have put The Chad in there.
What a complete tool.
Without a doubt the highlight of the game was when he gave us two 50m penalties. What a dooshbag!
With THAT effort today we now need to consider tank against the Tiger. I am amazed now we only win by 11.
-
Feeling really uncomfortable off the bottom of the ladder. Two weeks ago I thought we have Scully and Trengove.
Still happy for the win though.
