  1. My best 22 as list currently stands. Jetta may hibbard Fritsch omac lever Salam viney kk Anb weideman vanders Spargo tmac melksham Foll gawn Oliver brayshaw Int harmes jones petracca Final int spot depends on need re who we play between preuss, lewis, maynard, I cant see jones and lewis in same side if we have a fit side later in the season. Those depth realistically who could push best 22 if they get to their best not inc draftees as they are unknown Stretch, hunt, hannan, frost Excited to see improvement from Petty, baker, j smith, c wagner Needs massive turnaround to be on list 2020 Garlett, t smith, keilty, jkh, j wagner
  2. Im sorry, but I just don't see the big reason to get this guy other than the romance of it with his brother. 4 yrs in the system and just a avg player who is handy with no real game breaking strength.
  3. Great to finally have afl quality depth. I'd give tracca another week withe the idea of debut against the saints. This week, Vince in for Oliver . I wouldn't play him at Casey let him have a spell. Name him as first emg. From what I hear Garlett won't be ready. The only possible change could be ANB for hunt and Oscar Mac for Dunn as they will swap quite a bit this season in a handover situation.
  4. Just had a good look at the 2016 Fixture and other than spewing we only play Essendon once here are my predictions on wins, 50/50 and loses for the year. Wins Rnds 1, 2, 8, 9, 19, 22 50/50 Rnds 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17 Loses Rnds 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23 So from my tips above im guessing approximately 10 - 11 wins acceptable season, 12-14 wins above expectations, 15-16 playing out of our skins. So we could be in the 8 around round 10 then it gets hard.
  5. I really dont think Jones is the problem. The problem is our lack of depth. If you look at thew best for casey yest not one can cut it at AFL level.
  6. Jones has been heavily tagged the last 8 weeks. Needs help Dunn gets swamped with opposition inside 50's. He is still a good player. Grimes turns it over too much. he can go Dawes can go, cannot take a mark in his hands, and undisciplined which turns the ball over. Howe should be told to never kick it. looks disinterested, time to go. Mcdonald is a gun, would be All Australian in a good team. He cant do it all. Cross is slow and fumbles but never gives up. Watts has been ok this year and will get better as we get better. Garland has lost it he can go as well.
  7. Cant blame Mcdonald for shots on goal, he is not a forward, Watts, Dawes and 2nd rond draft pick for Dangerfield
  8. Vince- Best and fairest Mcdonald- Good both ends Jones- battled all day Cross- keeps on giving Gawn- Number one ruckman Tyson- Looked non interested Vandenberg- solid game back Watts- In and out Howe- needs to commit garland- thrice brushed off Jetta- Regaining some touch Hogan-lacked usual effort Lumumba- please stop blazing Dawes- possible trade bait Viney- a real trier Brayshaw- looked abit tired Garlett- Good work defensively Harmes- not ready yet Neal Bullen- needs another preseason Stretch- needs another preseason Dunn- tried all day Kennedy Harris-wait and see
  9. Realistically what compensation can we expect for CLARKE?????? Im just trying to work out what we have and could have. Not including delistings so far we have lost Clarke and Frawley. But have Stretch for what looks like pick 39, Lumumba for pick 22 and we still have pick 2 and pick 3(Frawley compo). I still think we need to draft a gun midfielder and trade a pick for a gun mid fielder.
  10. I was told that he was married yesterday????? and that Jack Grimes who is one of his best mates told me he was attending. Grimes also told me he would love to play with him again but didn't think he would.
  11. This is what I was about to post.....couldn't have said it better and I believe it to be true and that is why his manager has come out and said that he will talk to MC in the next two weeks. This will be to give melb time to weigh up options.
  12. Im have a delima. I have been a member in the past and am looking at doing so if I can this season. However I live in the country therefor last year I got foxtel as I never got to see the Dees on free to air and love watching them and getting down to melb to watch a few games with the kids. So I can't afford both a membership and foxtel. Can anyway please tell me how many free to air games we are getting this season????
  13. The rumor about ROCKLIFF amuses me. Back in the year he was drafter he missed in the national draft and then trained with Melbourne who told him we would take him as either in the pre season draft or as a rookie. We took JARRAH, then a few picks later ROCKLIFF was taken by Brisbane. Another great blunder of the time.
  14. Yes I agree we need a crumbing fwd who can kick 30 plus goals and give forward pressure. Too many times the ball hits the ground in the forward line and we have no one. But you cant make small forwards as some people have suggested with Blease, Jetta etc nominated, just having pace doesnt make you a crumbing forward. You need to have goal sense, speed, agility, and a bit of selfishness and the hunger to be the centre of attention. Players note quite up to midfield dont make good crumbing forwards the best crumbing forwards are that for their whole careers.
