Worringly, you are surprised that someone who has not played a senior game got beaten?? My God! That is worringly.

Come on, if they have to earn a spot, so does everyone else. Going on our current form, these two would have to play because we wouldn't be able to make up 22 players for our first round match. Scully and Trengove must play every game.

Overall, some improvement, but not enough.

Pointless playing Newton, he is just a Rookie waiting to get delisted. Pettered looks ok as a forward. Could fill the role nicely. Bate might get back soon.

You can't expect things to take off with a few raw kids. They'll get better as the season progresses. This will occur each year. Mind you, I reckon Scully and Trengove will come on alot quicker than most think.

I have to argue against this. If you look at all the quaters we won last year, it was when we were moving the ball direct down the middle. If we handball the ball around in circles waiting for a break, we get crushed because somewhere, someone is going to make a mistake.

I think the Dee's need to stick with Strauss, Gysbert, Scully, Trengove, Watts and Jurrah, Bennel, Tapscott and spencer when available week in. There is only one way to develop a team is to get them playing football. The one thing the MFC has done badly is pander to the media. There is no way any coach should be speculating on whether players are ready or not. I don't think I have seen any otherside discuss the readiness of any young players.

Not a matter of being fooled. It is what most are thinking. Words are good, actions are better. I hope as much as anyone that Bailey can pull it off - Sunday was worrying. I expected them to have more of a dip - no AFL player should be making that many skill errors. Still think the players are struggling with Bailey's game plan, or Bails is unable to implement it. He'd be better of just playing a simpler straight down the lines game plan. The players would improve their game overnight. For some reason, everything is too complicated. There is no need to handball around in circles. Firstly, it takes forever to get the ball down the field and secondly just end up making a mistake.

I think this is too simplistic. All these players have had junior careers, know how to mark and kick from an early age. There has to be another reason nothing is working, there is just something wrong in our football department. That has to fall squarely on Dean's head. Three years is unacceptable.

I put it down to his lack of game plan. I don't think the players have any idea what the coach is trying achieve. They are playing like a bunch who are just making it up as they go. Can anyone here tell me what Bailey's game plan is? Love to know.

I think the it is more the disappointment that we are seeing the same thing we saw last year. Bailey has one thing in mind, possession game he learnt at Port. We don't have the players or skills to pull it off.

My expectations weren't that high - just for an improvement in skills and decision making. One has to wonder what has been improved upon from last season. I hate to say it but I don't think Bailey is the man for the job.

We are poorly coached and no game plan exists. If the coach has no plan, how can you expect the players to execute their skills.

Any coach whoses players show that level of skill at any stage should seriously be questioned.
