  2. Three quarter time: Casey 13.14.92 to Bendigo 4.1.25 All 4 Bendigo goals have been scored in time on. We are giving them an absolute bath and you can feel the confidence riing as every minute passes. The opposition has quite a few Bomber listed players but they aren't playing with any system and, at times, it's looking like a training drill.
  3. Half Time: Casey 8.10.58 to Bendigo 3.0.18 Juice has three goals. It's a scrappy game with Casey dominating. They should be a lot further in front.
  4. Casey dominant but two late goals allowed Bendigo back into the game. Casey 4.5.29 to Bendigo 2.0.12 Newton has 2 goals, PJ & Miller 1 each.
  5. The Casey Reserves have recorded a big 110 point win over bottom of the ladder Bendigo. 7. I haven't done the arithmetic just yet but the amazing thing is that Casey will probably stay in the eight because ninth placed Sandy thrashed 7th placed Coburg whose percentage should drop down below that of the Scorps. Not much consolation but it's about time the Scorpions won a close one and stopped kicking themselves out of games of football.
  8. Oh well ... a 7 goal final quarter to the home side to win by 4 points. When you kick 7 points in the first quarter it comes to bite you on the backside. Casey Scorpions 0.7.7 4.10.34 11.13.79 12.14.86 Williamstown 2.4.16 5.6.36 6.8.44 13.12.90 Goals Casey Scorpions Newton 3 Hughes 2 Dunn Maric Matthews Stockdale Strauss Valenti Zomer Williamstown Little 4 Stack 3 Cordy Davies Everitt O’Keefe Reid Stretton Best Casey Scorpions Bell Faulks Valenti Panozza Wheatley Bartram Williamstown Callan Davies Addison Reid Gotch Everitt
  9. Good lead at 3/4 time - Casey Scorpions 11.13.79 to Williamstown 6.8.44 Valenti good that quarter. Bell worked hard.
  10. He hasn't had that much time on the ground to date.
  11. Casey trail 4.10.34 to Willy 5.6.36 at half time Goals Dunn Hughes Maric Valenti Some apalling kicking for goal. Maric kicked into the man on the mark from 15 metres out and Williamstown ran the ball down the ground for a mark and goal to Little. Matthews missed an easy shot just before the siren. Should be in front. I have a theory about Shane Valenti that he improves as a game goes on. Im that case, Casey will win.
  12. Goals to Valenti and Maric give Casey a 1 point lead.
  13. Quarter Time: Casey 0.7.7 to Williamstown 2.4.16
  14. Casey Reserves were competitive against top team Williamstown for the first half but were swamped in the second to go down by 46 points. No Demons in the team. 16. Mitch Robinson has just been handed a two week holiday courtesy of the VFL Tribunal for his part in the Rohan Bail incident at Visy Park last Saturday week.
  17. In the end it was an easy win to the Scorpions 14.11.95 to the Bullants 9.4.58. Liam Jurrah kicked two in the last quarter to finished with four spectacular goals. Casey Scorpions 8.0.48 9.2.56 15.8.98 20.14.134 Northern Bullants 2.3.15 6.9.45 9.12.66 12.14.86 Goals Casey Scorpions Waite 4 Sykes 3 Oldmeadow Scanlon Zomer 2 Blaser Clay Collins Liddle McLeod Patti Virtue Northern Bullants Bannister 4 Dwyer 3 Higgs 2 Cunningham Meroli Neaves Best Casey Scorpions Blaser Zomer Williams Collins Waite Snow Northern Bullants Gianfagna McDermott Neaves Higgs Bannister Prior
  18. At three quarter time, it's a close one but what a shocker of a quarter that was. Play was very scrappy and one of the few highlights was Shane Valenti's effort in intercepting a pass to a Bullant player, taking the mark and passing up forward where Juice kicked the team's only goal for the quarter. Casey Scorpions 8.7.55 to Bullants 8.4.52
  19. Casey 7.6.48 to 6.2.38 at half time in what is developing into a scrappy affair. Skipper Kyle Matthews has 3 goals. Just before half time Rohan Bail was king hit behind the play and he came off very groggy. After the incident Paul Wheatley was remonstrating with Bullant # 68. No appearance from Jake Spencer who copped a heavy knock last week.
  20. After a slow start, Casey Scorpions, fired by the spectacular Liam Jurrah lead 6.3.39 to 3.1.19. Two goals each to Jurrah and Kyle Matthews. Shane Valenti, Jamie Bennell and Neville Jetta are all doing well. Paul Wheatley's goal was his standard from a long way out.
  21. Casey Scorpions reserves scored a big 8-goal win at Visy Park and are now well entrenched in the top six. Casey Scorpions 20.14.134 d. Northern Bullants 12.14.86 Casey Scorpions 8.0.48 9.2.56 15.8.98 20.14.134 Northern Bullants 2.3.15 6.9.45 9.12.66 12.14.86 Goals Casey Scorpions Waite 4 Sykes 3 Oldmeadow Scanlon Zomer 2 Blaser Clay Collins Liddle McLeod Patti Virtue Northern Bullants Bannister 4 Dwyer 3 Higgs 2 Cunningham Meroli Neaves Best Casey Scorpions Blaser Zomer Williams Collins Waite Snow Northern Bullants Gianfagna McDermott Neaves Higgs Bannister Prior
  22. NORTHERN BULLANTS v CASEY SCORPIONS - Saturday 13 June 2009 at Visy Park Seniors at 2:00pm NORTHERN BULLANTS Backs Anderson Saddington O'Keefe Half backs Morgan Austin Johnson Centreline Russell Hadley Bentley Half forwards McCorkell Hartlett Fisher Forwards Ellard Meese Yarran Followers Cloke Robinson Iacobucci Interchange (from) Austin Bannister Bentick Boundy Bransgrove Edwards Hill Tiller CASEY SCORPIONS Backs Stockdale Martin Silvagni Half backs Bennell Faulks Petterd Centreline Matthews Valenti MacReadie Half forwards Wheatley Wall Hughes Forwards Jurrah Newton Jetta Followers Mohr Dunn Bartram Interchange (from) Bail Creed McGough McKenzie Panozza Spencer Strauss Taylor Reserves at 11:10am CASEY SCORPIONS Backs Snow Zomer Taylor Half backs Lees Williams Bolton Centreline Scanlon Panozza Matheson Half forwards McGough Patti Blaser Forwards Liddle Waite Chivers Followers Spencer Collins Creed Interchange (from) Clay Costigan Hillberge McLeod Mazurek Oldmeadow Sykes Virtue I hope that Jake Spencer is fit and that he plays in the seniors, not the reserves. He needs to play against the best possible opposition to maximise his potential. It also looks like they've decided to rest Brad Miller who played last week and presumably would have been eligible to play again this week. Probably suggests he'll be back at Melbourne next Friday night. He would have been handy for the Scorps but I suppose it's understandable as he would have had a six day break before the Bombers' game.
  23. There's still a fair way to go but the VFL has announced that the Collingwood v Casey Round 14 fixture has also been changed. The Collingwood vs. Casey Scorpions match has been scheduled to be played at Trevor Barker Beach Oval, Sandringham at 1:10 PM (ABC TV) on Saturday 18th July. The venue had not been previously determined but it's almost like a home game for Casey .
  24. The Bullants are affiliated with Carlton and have 2 home grounds, Visy Park and Cramer Street, Preston. Neither is available on Sunday.
