What a pathetic input by the Melbourne Football Club 3 players playing for the Scorpions against 22 listed players with Collingwood. We should have stayed with St Kilda who shown more interest.Maybe Dean Bailey is afraid he might loose his coaching job to Peter German if he keeps coaching a winning team.ELIMINATION FINAL AT PORT MELBOURNECASEY SCORPIONS V COLLINGWOOD @ TEAC OVAL

I am sure Alex Silvagni will account for himself very well against Ottens. He has taken on high profile AFL forwards before and did very well. Silvagni, Wall ,Faulks and Panozzo are the number 1 defence in the VFL as per ladder. Go Scorps

I also wonder what the ? were around him, as he does look so good at this level. Disposal perhaps?
How old is he?
Yesterday he played just about the most complete game i've ever seen from a player (back, ruck, forward) and definitely looks like he'd be capable at the top level. His mark in Watt's debut VFL match a few weeks back was massive too.
Carlton fans would be furious to see a Silvagni in red and blue!!!
According to the football record he was born on 29/09/1987. Ht.193cm Wt.93kg.and came fom Haileybury College.

Anyone able to tell me what the question marks are that have prevented him from getting drafted? I've seen him play twice on TV now and he looks fantastic at VFL level. Each time I've watched he's looked as good as anyone else out there.
Good question. Big chance this year hopefully with Melbourne

I could never listen to Rex Hunt. He drove me crazy. But looking at the names in the Casey reserves I'm guessing that he would had some fun with:
Patti
Virtue
Blaser
Benbow
Creed
Snow
Oldmeadow
Illmen
Rosier
BTW, the Sivagni in the seniors? Any relation?
Alex Silvagni is related to the Carlton Silvagni's but unfortunately does not have their bow legs and plays fullback for Casey .

Pick 76 Alex Silvagni 21year old 92 kg 192cm Key defender this year at Casey Scorpions in VFL . Already played against top AFL forwards this year and accounted for most of themwe all know watts will be chosen as number 1, and we all know the names being floated around for our pick 17 and pick 19. but who will we get with pick 35, 51, 64 and 76?I'm going to review this thread and see who was the closest to the money. And whoever that is I will give them life long respect :D
Has to be in order.
Here is mine:
pick 35: Jarrad Redden - SA ruckmen. We all know we need one. He is agile and is another midfielder in the centre after the tap out such are his 2nd and 3rd efforts.
pick 51: Tom Allwright - a midfielder that has good skills and is a good bartel-like overhead mark. He may be gone a little bit before us..but not earlier than the 3rd round.
pick 64: Liam Jones- a 194cm key forward with plenty of zip and marking ability. missed plenty of football through injury.
pick 76: N. F. I
Casey Scorpions v Collingwood
in Melbourne Demons
