The worst thing about Fev is .----- He doesn't wear red and blue .

He's an extrovert , and enjoys having a good time . Yes , he was a bit over the top at the Brownlow . So what ?

At least he doesn't welch on cab fares and then belt the driver . Just has fun .

Reckon we could teach that carltank mob a thing or two .

There is more pressure on players to play senior footy earlier these days because clubs are restricted to 40 players plus rookies .

40 years ago there were no restrictions , and clubs had firsts , seconds , thirds , and fourths . Plenty of players on the lists .

Also , if they don't perform in 2 or 3 years they have to go to make room for draft players . A sign of the times .

Having said that , we need to give our young players as much time as possible to do their stuff . We have some top prospects there now , but they will need a bit of time .

Harvey inherited a team that should have finishd in the 8 last year . ( Not only my opinion . but the opinion of plenty of people in the know . )

He is a very ordinary coach , coaching what is this year a very ordinary , vastly depleted list . He is grasping at straws and trying to upset the thinking of people . Take no notice of him . I believe we will finish above his pathetic rabble in 2009 anyway .

Was dead against drafting him for a long time , but thinking a lot about it in the last few hours , I believe he would be good for us .

We have lost a huge amount of experience in the last few months . Neitz , White , Yze , Carroll , ( yes I know , but he is a very experienced , tough player ) and we are about to pick 6 or 7 kids , 17 or 18 years old .

We already ave a lot of young , inexperienced blokes about to go out and do battle with the gorilla's of the AFL . They are going to get smashed !!!

I believe Cousins would gve these young guys an unbelieveable amount of help , courage , and confidence just by being on the field with them .

Hasn't nominated for the ND , which is very strange .

There is a fairly strong suggestion out of the Essendon camp that he and the captain do not get along !!

This could be where a lot of the trouble comes from .

I certainly agree this could be the start we have been looking for . If Scott can coach even half as good as he could play , he will be a huge plus .

Now we must make the absolute best of our picks in this draft .

He averaged about 6 games a year for 5 years . No great loss . We are better off without him and we get an extra draft pick , which might turn up a much better player any way .

If Carlton think he will win games for them they are in for a rude shock .

Pike may well turn out to be a better pick up than either Warnock or Johnson .

He was a good , agressive footballer , who played a lot of games and was in 4 premiership teams .

His experience and agressive attitude will be good for young blokes . Something we have very little of these days .

We gave him away when he was a very good player . I hope he doesn't haunt to much as an opposition coach .

I think he's the best PSD prospect available and we should be negotiating with his management now to sign him . It's happened a few times before with the PSD first pick , and guarantees the club get their player and the player is assured of a new AFL contract .

Get him now I reckon !

Because these blokes are training with an AFL club doesn't really mean much at all .Not many will be drafted anyway , and some drafted by clubs other than where they have been training .

All these players have to go in the draft anyway , so if we are interested in them , we get first crack via the PSD . If we really want a particular player , we should be signing them right now for the no1 PSD pick so they can't be picked up by anyone else in the ND .
