Very, very true. Now, its the players who need to be hauled over the coals for the rest of the week for what happened yesterday. They need to feel shocking for how the performed yesterday - I know I do!! They brought the club and the jumper down yesterday. They have to change that. ASAP!!. Again, we are the laughing stock of the AFL. This has to change! Players have to feel the brunt now - no place to hide..

Went today with my father. Wanted to leave @ half time, but couldnt as would have had to wait til after the game for a lift home by girlfriend & had left wallet in girlfriends car (would have rathered gone to the pub!). On a small issue, did anyone else who went down have an issue getting in with 17 game membership? Had to buy a general admin ticket as was told by ticketmaster that our barcodes didnt work down there, so - paid for the game in my membership, had to pay again to get in , then had to watch that crap!

I am sick & tired of going each week (or watching on TV) to see our our side contiually pushed aside by other sides who we should be able to go toe to toe with. How the hell does a side who beats a side by 90pts (GC) to see them get thumped by 50 pts (WCE) to the beat a side by 96pts (Adel) and then get thumped by 40pts (NM) after being 4 goals up late in the first quater. The only thing I can put it down to is lazy soft minded players. As the old saying goes "footy is played 90% above the shoulders". Lazy lazy footballers who will not push across the ground to help out other teammates, lazy footballers who will not tackle hard - who get swept aside to easily. Lazy footballers who do not stand up against a side who is coming hard at our team, who allow a team who KNOWS that they have our measure to bully us like they do (lost last 9 matches against NM). This has to stop. The excuses have to stop. Yes, we are young and still building our team, but that does not allow us to serve up weak crap like that. We have to weed out the weak minded and the players who are not prepared to put their body on the line time after time and the players who will not do the gut running that has to be done to be a top 4 team IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! I dont say this lightly - but in the last few weeks I have been wondering if Dean is the man to coach us from next year onwards. Im not saying that he should go at the moment - not a fan of sacking a coach mid year. But, again - im wondering if Dean is the coach to take this group further - maybe he has gone as far as he can??

Think your a bit harsh on Brayshaw. He has done quite a bit for North if you look close, he has lifetd their membership, corporate dollars and off field exposure. He also has a big involvment in securing North's future by trying to get some of North's home games played in new markets (which means big $$). Question his tenure?? He did just get returned by the members as president by quite a big margin.......

For the people who claim that our medical dept are not doing their job or are inept, back the hell up!! The medical dept are the best people around (like all other clubs) and are doing the best they can. Our medical people work very well with the coaches and are always erring on the side of been conservative when it comes down to how his rehab is conducted and when he returns to the side. Remember people, footy is a war of atrittion and as such players get injured either in training or game day -so, deal with it & if you dont like it go support lawn bowls or something!

So, how would coaches make moves/instruct players during the quarters??

Gee, I didnt know you were such an expert! Maybe you could drop down to the club & teach him where he should be.......... He will be a star - but, bloody hell he is still bloody young! He is still learning a hell of alot............

Bruce was never "sacked" for crying out loud!!!! We offered him a contract - a contract of $300,000. I will repeat that - $300,000. He left after been offered that!! The football department did nothing wrong. We are a young team on the rise & we cant afford to give a guy who is 31 a 2yr contract - never know where he might be physically after the 2011 season, so we offer him a year at a time - what the hell is wrong with that????

I remember this game too - a few of the Melb boys were wearing long & short sleeve jumpers at the same time it was that cold. But, princess park was a cold old hole .........

Dont agree with you at all - must say actually - crap! People who choose allegiances for a day do not in any way compare to the passion a person who has supported his/her club for their lifetime. Your last comment about passion is so way of the mark it isnt funny. Supporters are the lifeblood of their side, not the bloody corporates!!!

Love it!!!! Heard it on SEN on Thurs arvo - listening to it gave me goose bumps and a huge amount of pride to be a Demon man - had a silly grin on my face while listening to while driving the truck! lol. Just watched it again - again with the silly grin! Would love it if the club put it on the screen before the game tomorrow - told my old man about it & he wants to see it.

Totally totally agree Ox. The best & ONLY thing we can do is win every game & see what happens. Do what is in your control boys - let the rest take after themselves.

The word was that Jones trained with the boys this morning - so he is the designated emergency who they keep aside just in case. Morton though...... Maybe he pulled out cos he was sore somewhere himself??

Totally agree. All he (or any player) can do is play very well & keep pressure on players in the seniors to keep playing well themselves. And, Miller is doing that at the moment. Will be a very handy player to have come finals time. Btw - didnt see Morton out there.......

I agree Maric is stiff (quite stiff actually). Would say 2 emerg would go up. I doubt if they go up & dont play that they would fly back to play with Casey on Sunday - unless, they leave Bris as the game starts so they atleast sleep at home sat night. But, would say they wont fly them back on Sat night.

So, then its not a "disgrace" - is it?? Of course Maric is very stiff (he did play quite well & did the job he was asked to do). But, someone had to make way for a more senior player. Maric will get his chance. All he has to do is go back to Casey & play the best he can (putting the seniors under pressure) & when he next gets call up - take the opportunity with both hands (like he did against the Swans). It is bloody great to have Junior back in the side .

Well, that puts a full stop on "who is coming in this week". Great to have you back Junior!!!

Dont agree at all. He breached the trust with the football club too many times - end of story. The Bulldogs could not have any more "leaks" out of their football club coming from this bloke. It doesn't matter if he is the best player on the list or not - a football club demands trust, end of story.

With the two great Demon men up their tonight (Jim & Gaz), shivers down the spine right now. We HAVE to win this week - no mistake about it!! Did anyone else catch Garrys' look down the camera when he said that "the 22 Melbourne boys sitting at home tonight watching this WILL win this week"?? Took me back to the days of been in the rooms as Jim & Gaz warmed up before games, both proud & prowling around. Love those memories..... Make a stand this week Melbourne!
