As soon as the draw came out I saw us playing pies in round 23 for the 8. I've thought the same thing all year, except after the Hawks game where it looked like we'd screwed it up for ourselves. Pendles misses the rest of the season and doesn't come back for the last week, then we get in.

Yeah it's ridiculous. And it doesn't even work that well.

OMac, TMac and Frost being floated as the worst KP defenders in the comp is laughable. They've not been superstars, but they're far from the worst.

Was about to write the same thing. Well. Sort of. I reckon it's moreso a reflection of the fact a lot of happy MFC supporters now want to have a voice... And haven't quite got the gist of posting on demonland.

I reckon it's pretty dodgy. If you try to get out of it, it takes a big effort. I'm flush with cash this year, so will go again... but I'm only a few small paydays away from getting rid of it.

Yeah. Still. I'm amazed he has the chops for it. I didn't think skill and build wise he'd know how to execute. Certainly from what I knew about him beforehand. Thoight he'd need more protection. It's something. Chalk up another point to the coaches for making it happen.

A lot of mates are saying that sort of thing about their sides and other sides. Tigers saying they need griffiths, Giants Coniglio and others... I reckon our situation is different from any of the other teams. Mfc has impressed the whole comp this year with some wins no one saw coming. We didn't get those because of sterling defense or crows-like attack. Pure and simple we just did the midfield stuff better. Clearances and hard ball gets... so yes, it's one thing to have your stats down... but it's of way more importance when you factor in the way we won... which was through a particular type of player dominating one particular phase of the game... thats why there shouldn't be wrist slitting. Not yet. I feel like we'll be playing the pies in round 23 to make finals. Have felt that most of the year.

Playing terribly. Still popped up for his 6+ marks. Still haven't seen anything to show me he'll be a lesser player than Joe. Just an awful year luck wise. Absolutely awful. The off season will really help his mush I think. I know if it was me I wouldn't have even looked at a football again in 2017.

Had a feeling they could have. Heart says: right call, save them, we have bigger badder games coming up. Head says: Is it a good idea to hold players back? man we could have used them tonight. Particularly Watts.

Really didn't expect JKH to lift like he did. Also saw some good signs, if only sparingly, from guys who need more time or some form, like Hogan, Gawn, Melksham... Even Kent had his moments. While we might get Watts and Tyson back next week, we still have to cover Viney, Salem and Jones. They're the ones we miss. The Lesser lights have to give us a lot of push to get over Port. It can be done, and I think we match up better against them than we do Crows.

I reckon it could be argued, but is borderline. Given how much of a crapshoot the whole MRP and tribunal are, might be worth a shot.

Seems to me this isn't entirely unexpected. Noones right to play. Even the guys we've gotten back are short a gallop. Watching last week, you'd think a 5 goal minimum loss was on the cards considering Adelaide are a much better side. This is all white noise for me, while jones, viney, Salem and Tyson are all out of our midfield. That's how we beat them last time. Pressure and talent in the midfield. Would be a different story in 8 weeks.

In retrospect my post might have looked narky. I was more just having a dig at stuie.

I'm with you Denaleska, though I do think where we need to be is somewhere inbetween what you suggest and where we are at now. You won't be popular in your view on here. People will say harden up princess, when really there's just a bunch of keyboard heroes making themselves feel better. And a lot of sooks. I'm not often offended, but I do think there are some guys who play the man who just make the site a mess. Threads are tougher to read when individuals target each other and reference things others weren't a part of. It just stinks the place up. That's the main reason I want to see things changed. That said... you can't really do anything. 3 strikes and out wouldn't work at all. People have to be free to express themselves. I don't actually think you can change the nature of posting on the internet. I will say though that I reckon all along demonland has stayed ahead of the junk other fan sites come up with. Man. Take a look at Bigfooty. We've got it easy here.

No Watts, no Tyson... Now Crows will be backed comfortably. Especially based on how we played last weekend. Endeavour was great, execution not so much. I still give us a chance. One thing about this season, they've taught us we're in everything. This makes Port a really interesting game the week after. They're gettable with the ins we get back.

Demonland does. Stinking up the game day thread when we're 9-6...
