  1. we'd be lucky to win a game all year atm
  2. yep, Gaylord Woey was gloating in 2003.
  3. Of course Neita, Robbo & players alike wouldn't want Neil to go, its no secret they would be very close. None of us would want someone that has helped us to our dream get fired. Results are facts, and the fact is he ain't getting it done. GONE!
  4. I went to 2 games while I was over there, Clippers V Hornets last game of the season, and Lakers V Suns game 3 both at the staples centre. The Lakers playoff game was the most exciting sporting event I've ever been to by far, excitement plus.
  5. someone with a brain! if we don't get him someone else will.
  6. I'm with ya, I just got back from the states and they have there priority's set right in sport; its all for the spectators. If rules are changed its to give the spectator more excitement, not so mums will let their kids play. In NBA they've change rules in the paint for more dunks, in Ice hooky you can punch on for a 5min time out etc etc, cause the fans love it! In the 80s the speed and skills weren't quite up to what they are now, but how much more exciting was it watching hard physical free flowing football up and down the ground? Can anyone remember what it was like knowing the rules? Its now far beyond a joke, what other sport on the planet changes rule interpretations week in week out over several years? Theres is only so much crappy inconsistencies a loyal AFL supporter can put up with, somethings got to give.
  7. sorry finks, got you mixed up with the other sook. Looks like I'm the last one left getting sadistic pleasure out of watching the Demons.
  8. so now your changing your story to say it was a great smother/selfless act? not wheels falling over? lame ones like you are why AFL is becoming a non contact sport, go play with your lippy and netball skirt keeping yourself out of this thread, its not about me.
  9. we'll it happened in front of me and it looked like a fearless smoother from where I was sitting, straight onto the kicking leg. Anyway, back on topic people!
  10. It's Celebrating 'Whealen the Wrecker' and the little hardness still left in our game, you must be more of a Cameron Bruce person.
  11. I would have thought the experience of 3 flags in a row earns him a chance. I believe the best coaches get the most out of what they have, and he has proven he can do that. He changes things up in games when things aren't going Sandy's way with more positive results than negative. I know most people want champion AFL players to coach AFL teams, but I think it comes down to a charismatic respected human being with a brain, and a proven resume.
  12. Does anyone know what Mark's contract reads? Is he up for grabs next year? This man gets the most out of what his got, week in, week out. I for one would love to see what he can do with the full senior list at AFL level.
  13. he stepped up the harder side of things last year to make up for his bad set shoot, but after surgery it looks like it may be back on track, he could be dangerous this year.
  14. I think he'll play, but if he doesn't preform he will not play RD 2. I just think they'll give him one last shot at the record in the big time, otherwise it will upset too many people. If they give him a shot and his underdone, people will be much more at peace with him being dropped. Lets hope he plays up forward and turns it on.
  15. coach thinks he'll replace Neita.
  16. cool story. someone should make a movie out of this.
  17. no elaborating needed. think his captain material? you just don't get it.
  18. if he was playing for melbourne he wouldn't have been "pivoting on his leg in the first quarter of Thursday night's reserves practice match at Coorparoo"
  19. i'm sick of excuses, we've got the team, make it happen danners, or [deleted]. [bigpond, I suggest you tone down the rhetoric or resist from posting.]
  20. can't believe its here already. I'm sure it will be a full young list, and there's sure to be a big suprise packet, there always is. I'll never forget the first time i saw Davey rip it up in the flesh, that NAB prelim where we went down to the cats by a point at the dome. I can't imagine i'll ever feel that good after a 1 point lose again.
  21. Who said anything about picking up? I've worn my other pre season tops out, I think I may even be getting a reputation of some kind. So what I'm saying, is i'll wear this, out. *pun here*
