  1. He may well be directed to lead up on the centre because he struggles to win possessions elsewhere and has little presence inside 50.

Thats a little silly, your saying that he has that little impact in the forward line that he is told to lead up towards the wings??? Yet these seem to be his directions everyweek??? Yet he does this everyweek and doesnt get dropped?? So he has so little impact everyweek yet doesnt get dropped?? Im confused. I reakon the FD think he is doing a good job and doing the job that he is assigned to do or shorly after 3-4 years of this he would have been both dropped and delisted. dont you think??

  2. How many of you miller bashers have actually played CHF??

Miller does most things right as a CHF, he leads hard and looks to give off to a straight running kicker...you dont want him to stay around the 50...we want him to be leading to the wings and dishing off to someone who can hit the FF line on the chest or goal them selves...does anyone think that he hasnt been told to lead strongly up the ground and get possies on the wing/ center line...if thats your problem then take it up with the coaching staff not millsy because i have no doubt that he is doing everything that has been instructed to him

  3. MIllsy does..i'm a big fan of his..but he needs 2-3 weeks of solid football at Sandy....

Have you seen the past 6 weeks????? besides today miller has been the one of the few players that has stood up and can hold his head high. to say that he needs a few weeks at sandy is a absurd comment

  4. with the injuries to neita and robbo i reakon the coaches should start with this set up

    FF:Sylvia Jamar Davey

    HF:Picket Miller Bruce

Bring in PJ and have a roatation policy, one in the ruck, one up forward and the other on the pine resting up

davey should be played as a perminant crummer, too often last week there was no one front and center on the forward line

    thoughts?

  5. No matter who plays CHF no one will do well untill the half backs and midfielders start honouring there leads. friday night was a perfect example of this after lead after lead got ignored in favor of handballing it to someone in traffic. on firday it was not the personal, but the game plan, that saw us lose by 30 odd points.

    START HONORING MILLERS LEADS

  6. why is evry one having a go at miller!!! he cant do much when they refure to honour his leads and continue to handball around the defencive 50. alot of occations last night miller made mulitiple leads and the players on the half back line chose to handball to someone in traffic rather that try to hit millers lead.

leave him alone unitll he fails to perform given a half decent opportunity from our midfield and half back line

  7. I would doubt that fitness would be an issue for brock despite his resent injury. he is one of the fittest, if not the fittest player at the club and i would have no doubt that he would play similar minutes to last year with ease. regardless if he plays this week or next week for sandys practise match, the chook will play round one

  8. Sorry Chook. he was neither last year.

His elevation to the leadership ranks reflects the dearth of true leaders in the Club.

hmmm dunno about a lack of depth in the leadership catagory...i reakon we have a host of willing vice captains with only one captain...

so lack of captains yes, lack of leadershop maybe not

  9. How does Miller give us leadership?

By getting himself reported and suspended with macho bravado before the match has begun?

By turning in consistently sub-standard performances?

By refusing to impose himself on a match when he's constantly touted as a big, bad, bustling centre half forward?

Miller will never be a good leader because he will never be a good footballer...

well im melbourne coaching staff think he is as do the players, he obviously has great leadership abilty ot else he wouldnt be in the leadership group

also last year he was a great footballer and a great leader...still got reported still did the marcho stuff, yet this website loved him...whats changed a couple of bellow games in the back line which is not his best possition???

  10. Yeah theres nothing I like more than after a loss to kick the [censored] out of our young blokes. Because they're the reason we lost right?

    Drop Dunn for 426

    Drop Bartram for Read

when your in the hunt for september glory and have a side that is known for end of season fade outs i think you need leadership, miller gives us that. it is essential also in a kkp like CHF. its not kicking the [censored] out of them...its reality

  11. His attitude wont be as disappointing as yours.

how is my attitude disappointing? i want to win the grand final, dont you? Miller will get is there before Dunn. Millers game would stand up in finals, dunn wouldnt

  12. well both in this week, miller will play on hall though...will be interesting to see if they both play next week and then who plays where.

dunn will have his work cut out for him on saturday...hope he doesnt disapoint

  13. Dunn's lack of hardness is totally to do with the fact it's his first year and he usually gets a big-bodied opponent. Sure courage and selflessness are good attributes in footy but then again, a little self-preservation when you're just learning the ropes in your first year is forgiveable.

so come week one of the finals you want dunn over miller? you said it yourself he isnt hard at the ball and is selfish, is that some one you want playing in finals?

  14. You are having a laugh aren't you. Hard at the ball  Miller? Did you even see his games against the Eagles and Brisbane this season? Some of the most insipid, soft pieces of play I've every witnessed from a supposed tough guy and team leader.

I'll take Dunn any day of the week, month or year over Miller.

at least he runs straight at the ball, unlike dunn who will half attempt to get the ball, only putting a half assed effort. then when he doesnt win it will just sit then with his chin down.

miller is ten times harder at that ball than dunn, plus he flies the flag when it needs to be, dont underestimate that.

  15. Both. But if I had to choose between the two I'd say Miller. More mature physically and can be put into the backline. Dunn's a ripper but it's his first season, and while Miller doesn't have a great history in finals football, he does have about 50 games more experience.

Having said that I'm not sure I'd be disappointed to see Dunn line up. Great experience for him leading into a big future with the MFC.

you cant teach someone to be hard at the ball the way miller is, it just comes natural. from what ive seen of dunn he will always be soft.

  16. just wondering who everyone would prefer in the team with finals around the bend...

for me its miller as i think dunn is too 'soft', small and doesnt back up with second efforts., he either wins the ball or loses it, there is no pressure applied after
