    When you are dominating you need to put the score on the board!

    I remember Grundy said the thing he noted about Melbourne was how much time they spent on goal kicking!

    Sometimes it’s the players!!!

    Not when the Same problem has been there for 4 Seasons. You can’t just HOPE it rectifies itself

    I think it’s the strategy we employ or football direction we employ that is terrible, Why for instance Kick backwards with only 1 minute 30 left and you are a couple of goals DOWN.

    FFS you are trying to get the ball forward ( quickly) and win. FGS (pardon the profanity ) as I yell at the TV . Sorry darling.

    Just as well we do not have kids. It’s up to others with football smarts, I am too old. Too stuck in my own ways.

    We need a clean out , some players but more strategy and direction staff. For instance. The players do not need to love each other or the coach .

    Respect is different. And we cannot kick for goal and we are not fit enough mentally or physically. I will read this thread twice more.

    Agree with this. I think our problems are more Coaching than players.

    Coaching includes Fitness and Hi Performance Staff. We are not prepared to a High enough Level.

    Players who are totally focused do not miss the shots we had at Goal in the First Quarter

    The players have given up. Apart from Gawn, all our better players have been bog average

    ALL THAT COMES BACK TO THE HEAD COACH…..

    And yes i agree a 19th & 20th Team will be a disaster at this point. Games will flood the TV, but how many people will watch a full game.

    It just gets boring. I am still angry North were not sent to the Gold Coast in 2011, this current problem was always going to happen

    And as for GC, I love watching them and am genuinely envious. I loathed Hardwick as a the thug player he was, and it overflowed into his coaching, but he is an outstanding coach. In his 2nd year he has them humming along, tough, fast, skillful and fully united and aligned.

    I know everyone hates Hardwick, but he would be the perfect Coach for the MFC

    His press conferences are great, if he is angry he tells it straight, unlike Goodwin’s weekly Corporate drivel

    It's 100% on the players and that's why players such as long-bomb-Clarrie sat on the pine early in the season

    Move long-bomb-Petracca forward so he becomes a target and then move long-bomb-Viney forward as well

    Solves one problem but creates another ... our new look midfield needs many more games under their belts so as to become a potent force

    So Goodwin has been pro-active with the new game plan but it needs time and more importantly, a buy-in from all and sundry

    Yes after 4 years, it is on The Head Coach, if he cannot explain his Gameplan after 4 Seasons

    Sure some of the Blame can be levelled at Players, but the Head Coach is employed by the Club to get the best out of the list.

    Yet our players are incapable of carrying out a simple instruction that could be used for the under 12's

    We've got many footballers who are deficient in footy IQ

    I don’t think the Coach is great at communicating his messages, thus I want Change, whilst the playing list still has the talent

    So we've got plenty of talent now but the players just can't adapt to a new style

    But you never know, by the end of year the penny might drop for the players

    Share the ball instead of long bombs doesn't seem to be too big of an ask. But for our players, it is seemingly too much of an ask ... except for about 4 or 5 games this season when the new plan was enacted

    So we know the players are capable otherwise we don't beat Brisbane (up there) or run the Pies close

    We have already waited 4 years for a dysfunctional forward line to change.

    As for Bailey. I never blamed him. He was Coaching with one arm behind his back

    The Blame was always on Schwab (and Conolly to a lesser extent)

    The coach can only do so much. We've got any number of players who can't carry out simple instructions

    And then people like you let them off the hook by blaming the coach

    First quarter against the GC says it all. Disinterested players who lack motivation. Not many self-starters amongst the playing group. Lazy & unaccountable

    Maybe the instructions suck???
