Melbourne by 27 points.
That would be a worse case scenario result, if ever i saw one. The Swannettes can have this cheap dead Rubber.
Bring on 2010.

2 potential ways to stop "Tanking"
1. The AFL should award considerable cash rewards for end of season Ladder position.
with large increments for each rung higher up.
2. High percentage at years end taken into account with earning Draft Picks (A team may not win many games, but have a high percentage. That Team should be rewarded.)
At Present the Ladder positions at the bottom are governed by negativity. This needs to become Positive Driven.

go easy WYL,,have you read paul roos articule on the afl website good read mate.
I read it, & i agree. Paul Roos is a smart man, who knows he has a long hard job to get back to September action.
Bailey is doing just Fine.
-
im not one for starting threads, so for any of you die hards out there, go to the afl website and have a read about what paul roos just said about the demons,FIRST IN BEST DRESSED.
good words from Paul Roos, he is no fool. The swans want to keep winning this year, good let them-won't do them any good so i don't care.
We need the High Draft Picks to Bolster our midfield. So i will be happy if the Swannettes take the 4 points.
They have a list of pensioners who are on there last hurrah. We are about to start the long climb next year.

no team is tanking we will beat swans eagles will beat fremantle fremantle are so bad that they cant win another game Sydney are finished as a side they are at the same stage as dees where in 2007, too many old frats at the club and a few injuries. they have to play all of there youngster to see who can cut it or not there best 5 player are all over 30 and few of then are finished already. so there is no way a team will get a first round pp, only a second pp which is fremantle, we will beat swans and fremantle at the mcg, the dees don't tank Carlton do hawks do but the dees are to stupid to tank we had our chance in 2007 to make sure we would win less then 4 games but we beat the dogs and Carlton in the second half of that year, and won 5 games we should of got the pp last year, we would of got watts and nat, but not to be . we can build momentum for next year, win 3 or 4 more games and charge up the ladder next year, there are more ways to improve the list then just high drift picks , players on your list can always get better we have 6 player who can step up bigg time next year, the wizard, bate,Dunn, watt, garland, grimes,Jones.
Ever Heard of the word PUNCTUATION?? There is a reason it was invented (See above)....Use it. Oh & i don't agree with your arguements either.
Winning cheap end of season games will only slow down our progress for 2010

am so disappointed in the team selectors, that I have emailed the club and said as much. I HOPE WE WIN
I Hope we make the Finals next year with a speedy midfield myself. This season is over, apart from finding out which kids can play, and of the older ones who still has the Fire to raise the bar next year.
The Club is doing just Fine...

I think I saw Donnie 25 floating around.
We all need to buy Donnie a few jugs of beer to get him through these dark times.
I sympathize with him, it really sucks to barrack for a loss, but hey i want The Holy Grail Back Home...
-
I wonder who the single 5 win voter is!!!!!! Vlad Demetrio probably!!
-
I know i live interstate and cant make games but can i suggest you should keep going to our home games. Support what we are "doing". Cause if they think supporters dont like what we are doing then maybe they will decide to put a "show"on.
Don't worry Mouse i will be at he 'G, I am in favour of what the club is doing, it just goes against my nature to support the loser.
No Pain no Gain my friend, that i do know. It's worth watching L.J. anyway!!!
-
I would certainly let L.J. Run with Adam Goodes for a large slab of the game. Learn as much as you can Liam-don't worry about scoring so much. Contest with Goodes.
-
I want us in the finals like we were in our glory years, a real power house and win 3 premierships in a row!!
Yes to be Loathed & Detested across the land But Fully Respected because we are that Good. 39-41..........54-64....Don't Think DO

I cant stand this TANK talk, but I hate to loose and I want the priority pick. So do it guys. I will just go to sleep until the end of round 22 and wake up knowing that at least the best 2 National draft kids and the best pre season pick will be lining up round 1 2010 along side Watts, Blease, Jurrah, Wonna, Morton, Grimes, Garland, Struass and co.
I am totally with you man, don't know whether i will even attend the last few games, as Barracking for a loss is just not right. But I want those 2 Draft Picks at melbourne as my Christmas Present.
I will get over the next 6 confusing weeks if we can start Winning Regulairly next year.

HaHa Belz you are a legend!! That got me seriously Cacking Myself Out Loud!! Even thou Vlad says it does not happen!
-
On that we agree in spades.
Ime Glad about that mate!!! It staggers me how bad our midfield has become. And supporters want to win cheap late season games still.
-
Richmond would do something like that. Its called list management suicide.
WALK AWAY then...quickly. The best way to get experience in the midfield is to give the existing players game time not waste picks on age weary hacks that look good on paper. Haselby offers us nothing but a false quick fix that wont fix anything.
And guess what he got injured toward the end of the season....again? We wasted pick 20 on that. It should be a salient lesson for you.
Don't get too worked up RR, the article about Haselby was in yesterdays paper. I didn't say do the deal. I said it was worth considering only if the draft doesn't fall our way
At present our Midfield is still a large concern going into next year.
-
Those trades will not include any high draft picks though, they are going to be locked away for safe keeping by the clubs holding them come trade week
Nobody will be getting rid of High Draft Picks, i didn't say that.
That's why there will be a lot more trading second Tier. I don't think the extent of the GC 17 Situation is going to hit us all until it has happened on draft day. They are getting everything.
Which is why Cheap late season wins are of little use to us.
-
Not get an injury prone, overweight 28 year old slow midfielder.
If we don't get two picks in the top 3, we will swear alot and move on.
I might cry a little...
Don't judge me.
You're judging me.
Ime with you there rpfc We shall all cry a few silent tears.
The reason i bought up Haselby is because he knows how to play the middle.
If his body is shot, fair enough WALK AWAY. But we need some real experience in the middle if we don't get the young elite.
I go Back to Pickett's First year with us. He Put some real Grunt & Fear in the middle & we Beat some Good Sides.
Yes he stayed a year too long. But if an experienced player is available on a one year contract situation.
It is well worth considering,if the Draft does not fall our way.
-
You couldn't be more wrong about the financial situation which is about to rear its ugly head again I'm afraid
r
So what new news do you know about the financial situation? Ime all ears.
Persoally i would love to sit down with scwabb & find out the Real details of this club. I can only beleive what i see & that is we are a hell of a lot better off than 12 months ago, with still a long way to go.
If we can score the Top Draft Picks this year, with a full pre season I am Hoping for a push toward the Top 8 next year.
That will only happen with new injection of young talent in the midfield.
Short Term Pain for long Term Gain. I don't like the idea of losing games, but i will endure that sick feeling if it means we start Pumping next year.
I bet the Saint Supporters are not bothered by there 2000-01 form right now.
No Pain No Gain.
-
Liam Jurrah for putting Life Back into the Club, & many Potential "Bums on Seats" next year & into the Future.
The Kid has the possibility to be anything. Thanks Filth. Love ya work for passing him up!! Eddie must be Spewing!! Hehe..

I've long loved the idea of 'customised' merchandise, so just as you can choose what number you want on your jumper, you can choose what number application to have on your hoodie/jumper/jacket. Price and logistics wise this is probably a very difficult thing to coordinate, especially if you're looking at fabric number trims, transferable appliques etc... but who knows.
1964, 12 and 1859 will all be numbers that I'll look to feature in some form, as they are not obvious but they would mean something to Melbourne supporters.
.
I would prefer 2010 & the No. 13 Myself. No offense to Froggy at all.
-
I am sure you forgot to insert the emoticon to show you are not serious about us taking a 28 year old plodding midfielder?
If we don't receive the Draft picks we want in 6 weeks time, i said he is worth a look.
Our midfield at present is a joke. I watched those 3 games Earlier, particulairly the Shockers v Carltank at the Gold Coast.
For all his negatives Haselby is a Smart Footballer, which is more than we have now.
If we don't get those 2 high picks what would you suggest the club does?
-
In other news. Scotty West as full time is good news!
Now that is good Positive News, i heard him on SEN a few weeks back say that he loved working at the Demons, Let's hope he gets to teach The Young Scully a few Tricks.
-
I predict this years Draft weeks will be full on. Many Trades by Many Clubs, This year is it for a long time.
I have faith in Bails & our recruiting staff will get it right. Look at how much Potential Talent we have seen in the last 18 months.
We have recruited really well, but the job is not done. Later this year on those Draft Days. It is critical.
I Got Faith Man-Just Do it.
RIPE FOR THE PICKING

You have made some very big statements here Akum, I hope you can back them up, as you are insinuating that i am an idiot. That i am not.
And Niether i believe is our coach.
