Garland played most of the game apart from a few rest on the bench. I was down the melbourne goals so didn't get a great look. But not far away from senior selection. Not a Spencer fan, he doesn't do much around the ground. One time tonight when the other ruckman didn't go for the contest in the middle he jumped up and missed the ball entirely and fell to the ground. Looked very bad!!!

Just got home from casey. From the Melbourne boys Bate looked ok. Bigger and better than the defenders but not match fit yet. Watts as said he kicked a goal but that was probably his only kick. Only played 1 and a half quarters. Not sure if injured. Newton was newton. Prob kick 3 or so missed some easy ones. PLayed on a lesser opponent so bit disappointed. Tmac was ok. Hughes played on waite in the first and beat him. Quiet second qtr but was great in the second half. Garland was good kicked a goal from a 50m penalty (one of ours but they got at least 6 or 7 50m penalties) Healey not much. Fitzpatrick looked pretty good, made a few errors but was around and will develop well. Gysberts was hard to stand out as he looks similar to a lot of casey players so not sure. Spencer didn't dominate and should b used as a last resort as he played on Neaves (former rookie for us) THink thats most of them, as i Said Waite played a bit for them as Did marc Murphy. Casey ended up winning by roughly 12-13 goals. Could have been many more if kicking was straight although the wind was horrible!

I also heard Danny Hughes will play in the seniors, good luck to him!

Which game were you watching? he looks scared out there. No good under pressure and for a guy that relies on his clean skills they were woeful. He and Bennel will spend a lot of time at casey. THought frawley looked good even though he missed a few sitters and love beamers work.

WHen has Newton been cut down by injury? i thought he has been injury free. He's basically just not good enough and will not work hard enough.

For mine it would be danny Hughes.... Has been on the list three years going into his fourth. I reckon he can play, he needs to be given a game. He deserved one last year i thought. He is in danger of being the first ten year player to never play a game!!!

I heard hughes is out for the season with a leg/hip injury?

He is still not in our best 22.... ANd with pick 1+2 coming our way will need a big preseason and start to next year. You have to give him his just deserve and say he has played well but needs to do it in important games in which he didn't early in the season.... Listening to fox sports they also highlighted that he may be a little soft.. Saying that soft players get some soft free kicks or something.. with all the crap they spoke i was hardly listening to them!

Mcnamara and bail will debut this week! Buckley will playing at casey!

LAst night was the debt demolition function. Was $1000 a head and basically that you would donate or your company would donate $5000.... Was a very good turn out, hopefully we raised a shiteload of money!!!

Just thought i'd mention that trengove would love to come to victoria as his dad lives here.. He is a client of ours and is a really great bloke.. Likes the idea of his son as a dee too!!!

Was a very close finish... casey hit the front in the last minute. Then geelong goaled... Zomer had a shot in the dying seconds only to kick it out on the full!!!! Hughes kicked just after the siren for a goal... so an extra 5 seconds and casey win! Buckley did play... Was ok but nothing special.. Robbo was terrible again! Colin was sensational!

You would think they meany hughes as he is so unlucky not to have got a game!!! But he would of have to be promoted to be even named as bail was!!

Morton out of position?? Bailey played him on goodes, i think he was perfect fit for the role, tall, can match him around the ground! Thought it was a great coaching move!

Mathew Bate and Lynden Dunn... Should have taken the next step but clearly haven't. Dunn has gone backwards, Bate has done little besides a few goodish games

keep bate in... He just doesn't get near it.. Surely Hughes must be a chance of getting a game soon!

first of all congrates adam simpson on a great career, was a very good player. Very underated!!! Secondly i think north are a very competitive team with good teams so should easily account for us. Helps having boomer back! Would love them to smash the blues this week!!!

lol robbo 3 kicks... He was horrible. Did anyone else hear him on triple M. Saying he didn't get delivery, that he lead a thousand times and wasn't honoured and blah blah.. the way he is going he might end up in the vfl 2's

I agree Jordie looked good. Looked like he belonged out there and after another preseason and some weight he'll be much better...

Trengove had 32 touche, 13 contested for sturt today... i would be close to taking him no.1, hopefully we get 1 and 2 so we can get both

It did look average, but of the ball bounced straight he would have picked it up and burnt away from jolly!!

i think it may have something to do with if he plays a senior game this year he can't be placed on the mature age rookie list next year. If he can finally have a full preseason under his belt he would be much better than just playin a few useless games when we dont need to win!!! I thinkk mckenzie will play as he was promoted, i also hear bail will play.. I dont think miller and newton would both play

To be fair to YM bruce won it last year because he played in most if not all our games, Mclean should have won it by a mile! Having said that BAte and Petterd being in the pole is quite funnny.... I also think warnock will be right up there... But beamer should win it and hopefully be named captain next year! Did any one else see the warnambol leader. Had a big wrute up of the dees, Especially moloney
