  1. Game plan? Loose man? Advanced tactics?

Why allow the easy outs (if they could even be executed) when the basics required would, should, level the contest?

We'll get beyond that magical number of outs (30, that was previously reverse prophesied) by the end of this season.

Once the list proves to the coaches that they are capable of consistent games of contested football then, and only then, will the coaches allow the outs as needed and not after repeated failures at the basics.

  3. "He really needs to kick this goal...."

"He really needed to kick that goal...."

    "They need the next goal...."

"That is a bad time to turn it over...."

Some of Richo's most insightful comments.

I really don't rate the boundary rider position at all.

However given the seemingly mandated 'entertainment' factor in current commentary, he'd unwittingly save my team from being too dry.

  4. Thats my feeling Chris and I only see more supporting evidence every week.

The more money injected into sport the more corrupt it gets both on and off the field.

It used to be that you could at least rely on the ammos to provide a clean contest.

These days many are co-opted / corrupted as 'feeder' competitions.

  5. I have found Watts' last few weeks most interesting. It is like he has been taught to take his time and back himself in. On so many occasions he has shown great composure in traffic, or even in a tackle, it has been great to see.

His quick thinking also great. Fantastic pass to Garlett under pressure. 'He hit it in hope' ... no.

  6. The Richmond onballer has been issued with a $2000 suspended fine for his controversial handcuffs gesture during Sunday's elimination final loss to Carlton at the MCG

AFL football manager Mark Evans announced on Wednesday night the League had fined the midfielder, suspended for two years, meaning the player won't have to part with any money unless he re-offends.

Evans says the league is keen to stamp out controversial on-field gestures

"We haven't fined or sanctioned in the past for this, but it's got to the point where we're really saying to all players that we don't want these sorts of gestures."

"There will be a portion of our audience or crowd who are upset by it, and we just think it's best left somewhere else."
