  1. @Lord Ivanhoe the speed list just got a bit smaller!
  2. An oddly specific thing to point out DS... do I perhaps detect some jealousy?
  3. I can think of a few worse players today (Jones had some absolute shockers). More game time and a bit of polishing and he will be elite. He is only 22 after all?
  4. First post in a couple of years... but hey, today's game will do that to you! Couple of comments: 1. Too many players sucked into the contest. Doesnt take 3 blokes to tackle. Allowed Collingwood to overlap perfectly. 2. Lost everywhere. Mid, forward and back. 3. DeGoey unmanned for 3/4 hurts. Should have been shut down. 4. Pedo should have gone to Cox, and told to play in front. 5. Felt like we had the wrong team. Too tall forward, so small down back, not enough support in the ruck. Bye will do them well. Need to step it up from here on.
  5. DeeVoted. Ive dropp the ball and forgot to sign up again - any room for Nixon'sChicksU18s?
  6. I think Jackson is far better than Schwab. But, to sit there and say the debt demolition was "poor management" is rubbish and if I'm not mistaken; isn't the Heroes Foundation still going?? Must be a really "soft option" if PJ is still doing it...
  7. Not forgetting Roos said he wouldn't play Salem all year when he was drafted. For Salem to actually play and show some promise is a good effort. Lets just hope he doesn't get second year blues...
  8. Ok, so you're one of the worst teams in the AFL and you've inherited $5,000,000 of debt in the worst economic environment since the Great Depression; and instead of raising money through a debt demolition, you'd "spend money where it's needed"... haha WHAT MONEY?!? The only reason PJ can do what he can do now, ie great ideas like leveraging $2m to increase gaming revenue, is because of the money generated through the debt demolition. PJ's got the opportunity now to put the club in a fantastic position. But to compare the current situation to 2008/09 is a joke.
  9. What would you have done differently? I mean I'm all for one to sit and take pot shots, but I'm genuinely intrigued to see if you've actually got something behind that statement; or, going from some of your previous posts and noting what others have touched on, if it's some personal grudge you've got with the previous administration.
  10. Interesting. Good player but also worth pick 7. Hope he stays.
  11. Cale Morton 4 Jack Grimes 14 Addam Maric 21 Jack Watts 1 Sam Blease 17 James Strauss 19 Jamie Bennell 35 Tom Scully 1 Jack Trengove 2 Jordan Gysberts 11 Luke Tapscott 18 Max Gawn 34 Lucas Cook 12 Jeremy Howe 33 Sure Bailey won more games than Neeld, but lets not forget it was an average of 5.5 games per year during his tenure and with drafting like that no coach after Bailey would have stood a chance. Also trading Jonstone, delisting Yze, White, Miller and force retiring Robertson and McDonald didn't help...
  12. Gysberts, Silvia, Morton, Bennell, McLean, Scully, Rivers, Moloney - all either stayed at the level they left or didn't improve. The only player who has gone to another team and improve has been Martin. Could almost say Pettard too (noting I'm just drawing on improvement, not the overall talent) The odds don't look good for Geelong, but more damning on our initial selections. [if I've missed someone add them on]
  13. If he concentrated on the list then that confirms my original statement.Daniher played a part in all of this, but from Daniher to Bailey to Neeld - the biggest failure came from Bailey, as he had the most to lose... and he did.
  14. Dean Bailey is lucky to escape that title. Neeld inherited a bottom team and left a bottom team. Bailey went from finals team to 186, and have a look at the players currently left from that drafting period. The fact is neither were very good, but Bailey had twice the time, started with a better team and left it in the same state...
  15. Substandard medical checks? Source?
  16. Donates $10,000 and costs the club $500,000 + more in legal fees. What a top bloke. Hope it was all worth it Brock.
  17. Walk in best 22. Better than Grimes, Terlich, Clisby and Strauss. I don't care about his antics, just want to win games.
  18. The question is what would you get for him? Three coaches, 6 seasons and not too much on the highlight reel. People need to get serious when saying he could elite, he isn't A grade and barely B. Maybe a new club is the kick he needs, because his performance this year isn't good enough. Edit: that last line applies to the majority of the list.
  19. The Michael Jackson trade has hit a bit of a hurdle but I've been told Adele is considering our offer.
  20. I genuinely think Adele would be a good midfielder... where is BP when you need him.
  21. "black and white..." Hmm lets think about this. Title of a famous song by Michael Jackson who was also black and white. Michael Jackson was born on the 29th of August 1958... 29/8/1958... 2+9+8+1+9+5+8 = 42 42 divided by 2 = 21. 21 was the number Tom Mitchell drafted. 21, Adele's album titled 21 outsold Michael Jackson's Thriller album in 2011. 2011 was the year Tom Mitchell was drafted. The same album also has several world records, Mitchell has a record 64 possessions. Possessions, red heads don't possess souls. Adele has red hair, so does Tom Mitchell. So, I'm fairly certain we are targeting Michael Jackson, Tom Mitchell or as an outside chance Adele.
  22. Captain Obvious to the rescue. Followed by Sidekick Sarcasm (nar WYL I heard Paul the other day saying it didn't have to happen and he wanted to keep the list as it is...)
  23. Yeah same. I have the most pathetic vertical jump. It's my Achilles heel. That and stairs.
