Very interesting! Does it have Jaguar on the back? I might've missed it but thought their sponsorship was due to expire at the end of 2021. Might just be that they've re-signed but not announced it yet?

Hold on a second I just want to make sure I got this 100% correct. If you get the victory pack it is just the GF that comes in blue ray BUT you get the alternate commentaries that you don't get from the single GF dvd? Apologies in advance.

My victory pack arrived in the mail today and at a quick glance:

    • The GF is a DVD, not blu ray
    • The GF has the commentary options of Channel 7, Triple M, 3AW, and SEN
    • The season highlights disc runs for 1.5 hours and has someone hosting it, reflecting on the season, and a sit-down with Jack Viney before starting to go in to the highlights from each round

Looks like a great package of material in my opinion, exactly what I was after!

Has anyone come across news suggesting Carlton Draught will release premiership cans like they did last year for the tigers?

Strangely Dan Murphy's is showing the Tigers can as the 2021 premiers:

    https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_808084/carlton-draught-carlton-draught-2020-afl-premiership-cans-375ml

Out of stock though of course.

FYI I messaged Carlton Draught on Facebook and they came back yesterday saying they won't be doing the cans 😪 They said they don't have intellectual property rights to be able to produce them this year (which I take to mean Furphy won't let it happen under our sponsorship arrangement).

I think it's only free shipping over a certain spend, at least that's what my cart is doing. 1 Hoodie - Paid shipping. 2 Hoodies - Free shipping appears.

That's correct, I believe it's free shipping on orders over $100.

I wrote to both the afl and the club

Why don't you? They notice. For each that writes they assume many more hold the same view.

Why do you need an away strip at all playing against the following clubs without red and blue in their strip?
Collingwood richmond gws st kilda freo hawthorn port Adelaide
The following clubs have blue or red in their scheme but there is no clash or risk of confusion
Geelong north Sydney carlton west coast essendon

The strips with some risk of clash / confusion are
Bulldogs Adelaide brisbane - but not much risk

    Speak up

Agreed re speaking up and writing in

I think another big shift in this issue compared with previous years is that white is clearly not a requirement for more and more clubs - Essendon (red kit), Richmond (yellow kit) and now West Coast (royal blue/yellow kits) and Brisbane (red/yellow kits) are cases in point.

How can white possibly be a requirement anymore? Royal blue option plus a red option of our same traditional jumper design would tick off any potential clashes and meet the same requirements as the above four clubs.

  6. Red option plus a royal blue option would cover all bases - can't think of any team we would go close to "clashing" with if we had these two plus our home jumper to choose from.

West Coast have done a similar thing for 2017.

  7. This looks like a REAL football jumper. I love it!

Invert the colors and shrink the monogram and we have our new clash jumper

Agreed, it's fantastic! Will definitely be purchasing one.

I actually still have a red with navy monogram one which was used as a training jumper around 1993 (still has the "pioneer homes" sponsorship on it) - if not for the AFL it would be the perfect "clash" guernsey.

  8. Check the Category Game - If it's an 'A' Game which is my guess they will only offer a very small amount of guest passes and about one per member

I think only Anzac Day and Queens Birthday are category A games - this one is a category B.

If you're referring to guest passes that get you in to the MCC reserve as whole, then you could comfortably buy them on the night at the gate. I've been to the last few Hawks/Cats games at the G with Hawthorn mates and have never needed to pre-purchase their guest passes. Balcony or long room passes on the other hand you would definitely need to pre-book for this size game, and I can see on the MCC site that they have already been fully allocated.

    Hope that helps.

  9. I don't think the number on their website is up to date.

Ah yep fair enough. Still, i'd like to see the tally if they'd spent 5 years down the bottom and we'd played in a couple of GFs. Start getting it together on field and we'll go 40k+. Decent effort this year all things considered.

  10. Apparently being sited for using pressure points on the defender brown in one of there wrestles.......damn

It is on the herald sun page, but the link seems to go to anotehr article, shows a pretty damning photo

Yeah noticed that as well, doesn't look good......

  11. I was level 1 on the wing (MCC) and the emotion was phenomenal. Everyone was going crazy (could hardly hear myself screaming) and the joy on people's faces was amazing to see and be a part of - those are the sort of moments you go every week for.

Must say, even the Dons fans sitting around us I was impressed with - had about half a dozen of them either patting me on the back or quietly congratulating me. I felt like there was so much joy and emotion that they couldn't help but feel (in a small way) happy for us.

A night that I will not forget.

  12. Checked my install of the app this morning and unfortunately still has the logos. Checked for updates of apps and it wasnt there. I know the club have bigger things to worry about right now, but it would be good if one of their social media developers gets onto this, wouldnt be that big a job to udpate.

As for what this app does, gives you a quick easy way to access all of the useful content of our website, its a great little app!

I'm a big fan of it too, really easy and useful. Just checked for updates to get rid of the logo - also can't see anything available.
