  1. Agree, I would hang onto him. There are others who will be gone ahead of him and we can't end up with a list of 18 and 19 year olds.
  2. I thought he had settled with them. If they were smart the settlement would have included all causes of action arising from their employment of him.
  3. Lately I have been enjoying Baby I Love Your Way by Big Mountain and dare I say it, Valerie by Amy Winehouse.
  4. I'm getting really [censored]. That other thread has got to 24 pages and here we are languishing on only 6. Start posting people, this is a real challenge. There must be so much more to life than discussing "you know who".
  5. My link Didn't want to put anything too controversial in.
  6. I still remember the first half of the season fairly well but am happy to come in at about half way and give it another chance. Glad you enjoyed it though.
  7. He might be happy discussing my breakfast. It was poached eggs on multigrain bread with roast tomatoes. The eggs were too hard, the yellow solid, the bread thin and soft and the tomatoes gooey. Now I could blame the chef but Hangon 007 might say that is unfair as the chicken was young and inexperienced, the baker is only learning and the tomatoes came in a bad season and will get better in the coming years. Lets not blame the cook of course because he takes no responsibility whatsoever. Let the discussion begin.
  8. Agree if you are only picking up the "gut running" point, I had coupled it to leading and making position. Maybe the Coach can have a small influence on gut running, though, if he can inspire his players to do it, some Coaches obviously succeed. That said, many players won't or can't.
  9. Read the last line of my post 55. Now go and take a bex and lie down, I am going to. PS. As an aside do you think our coaching panel is allowed to be criticized or is that forbidden?
  10. Whose job is it to get players to lead and make position, the boot studder? I have not criticized the Coach since he started with us but today I am a little angry and am venting.
  11. Allowed Burchall to run free the whole game. Played Watts on the wing. Had no discernable structure to our forward line. Played an extra player behind the ball which may have led to my first point. Left out a fresh Bartram who might have helped shut down Rioli. Hasn't taught us how to tackle properly. Hasn't taught us how to apply the forward press against a good side. Has no method to our kick in. Has no method to the opposition kick in. Has no plan B. Hasn't improved the skills in kicking, handballing and decision making. Hasn't got players to be prepared to gut run or simply offer a lead or make position. etc, etc, etc.
  12. Actually, that made me sick. The same as I felt watching Burchall run around setting up play all day, without an opponent.
  13. Actually that is incorrect. Martin had the ball with the quicker Nicholson calling for it and should have given it and then applied the shepherd for him on Bailey. Nicholson after calling for the ball and being ignored, tried to shepherd the bigger Bailey, but had to run around Martin to do it. If the bigger slower player has an opponent on his left side and a quicker team mate on his right, he gives it off and then protects him, which would have put Nicholson well ahead of Bailey with Martin between them. What Martin did was dumb, like so many other passages of our play today.
  14. This continues a long trend for Melbourne, that whenever a player gets publicity, that week he has a shocker, or as in Liam's case, doesn't even play. Hope the book goes well anyway.
  15. Thanks 45, finally got there. Pity about today.
  16. You are not alone. Ricky was above the head of 22 for the Dogs who himself was off the ground. that puts him higher than Walker for a start. He was well above Gilbee who had jumped. He got up there on his own not on the blokes shoulders like Walker. If you look at Tapscott if Ricky was on his shoulders that would be equal to Walker's mark but he was a mile above him. IMO Ricky's was far superior as he was higher with more opposition and got there himself.
  17. 45 Is it me or the computer. I follow all your steps and then press the "insert link" and then "add reply" on Demonland. It comes up but you can't click on it. Do you know what is wrong.
  18. Yes. I will try again after amateurs game I am off to watch.
  19. I get to your last instruction and it comes up as a link but then you can't get into the link when it is posted. What am i doing wrong.
  20. Thanks 45 I will do a test run and then delete.
  21. Good post.
  22. Can someone tell me step by step how you link an article.
  23. Wow. 192cms is now small.
  24. Welcome to this thread. Feel free to post here 100 times but try and change the topics. PS. Obviously no one on the other thread has seen the Age article today on you know who's knee.
  25. Can you believe it, that other bloody thread is up to nearly 900 posts, the 3rd time around. Full of conjecture and speculation with one poster nearly at 100 posts. I can see a total meltdown of the board when the decision is announced. For those with other interests, Melbourne may give up the Grand Prix and Cadel Evans is set for the ride of his life. Go Aussie, win the bloody thing.
