  1. Why didn't you thank them for Gysberts for McLean. Also that they got Robert Warnock for $1.6m for 4 years instead of us.
  2. He told me last night he played full forward.
  3. Disagree Jaded. While I believe ( hope ) Watts will be a good player for us in the future, his last two games were pathetic. He is playing from behind, falling over, looking for frees and generally showing he does not deserve his spot in the team. The last point is crucial. To say he won't learn anything in the VFL is silly. He will learn to put his body in at contests and earn his spot in the senior side. He may even get some much needed confidence. How do you think Jordie McKenzie and others would feel if he stays in the side despite poor form while they can't get in. I am all for development of players but you can't just play guys forever who don't deserve their spot. Gysberts earned his spot and is going beautifully at the moment. Dunn today earned his recall and hopefully he will play well against the Pies. I am not even talking about trying to win games, because in his current form with Miller they provide nothing. What about the development of our mids who get the ball and if they don't unlike today, butcher the ball, see it coming back over their heads every time. How does that help their development. Watts needs muscle, confidence and maybe some less pressure at this time, so a spell at Casey beckons.
  4. Not really, come on down Jessica.
  5. I see my sarcasm was wasted.
  6. Billy Brownless said tonight Brock wasn't sore and was "really, really" [censored] to be dropped for this game.
  7. It's not a big mistake, only $1.6 million over 4 years.
  8. Scuse me! Kreuzer, O'Hailpin, Waite, Houlihan at around 188 and Carazzo a bit shorter, is not a small forward line.
  9. Its started early. If he is a nightmare to coach and get along with, why would you even consider it? He is not even a big Key Forward, he is Sylvia's size.
  10. I'm staggered they even let you into the ground to watch them play.
  11. Garry Lyon on same show said Geelong took no notice of him and that may have flattered his performance. Well they put Bartel on him in the last quarter and he played on Selwood early, so given that and his stats I think he can be bloody proud of his first up performance. IMO he is this week's rising star. I also think the OX would be very happy with the boy wearing his number.
  12. Scarlett was a father son and out of our reach as he had committed to Cats. Goodes was a 17 year old and we had already taken one at pick one and were not eligible to take another.
  13. Spencer off on a stretcher for Casey. Hope it is not serious.
  14. Not as shocked as me. I nearly fainted when I heard from our Footy Manager moments before the draft that we wouldn't take Talia or a tall forward as pick 11. Must say I am pretty happy with JG with what I have seen so far at Casey and yesterday for the Dees.
  15. And that has to change. We must now after playing there for the last 100 years say enough is enough. In the last 20 -30 years we have been drawn to play there every year for a near certain loss. The reason from the AFL is that the bigger drawing sides don't play there. With us improving there is no doubt that we would draw at least 50000 at the G against them. Why should 20000 fans be denied access to the game. They should only play the interstate teams there and maybe North as well who we all know can't draw crowds. They have 8 games a year there and in two years there will be 8 interstate teams plus North, that is nine games to choose from. The MFC should take this up with the AFL as a priority. The Cats can fill the stadium with their members against any of these teams so that should suit everyone. It is grossly unfair that we have to play there and deny 20000 fans when other teams never play there.
  16. Because he is in our best 22 and he has been great this year.
  17. I didn't. Thought he was very poor. With Scully, Trengove and Mckenzie to come back in, someone has to make way.
  18. So you think Bailey told him to play from behind on every single occasion.
  19. He has been selected for Casey and I am stunned. I could understand if he was also rested but dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Every year for the last 15 or so I have picked one player as "my boy", the player that I watch most carefully and follow and this year I took Jordie. I have spoken to him a couple of times and he is a great kid and loves the club and his footy. He has a habit of saying " yeah" all the time and I feel like that should be his nickname. I think he will have a great career with us.
  21. If that was the case you would use Watts as the second ruck and we know why they won't do that, we don't want him crippled. If Jamar is ok he needs about one third of each quarter resting and that means about 8-10 minutes for someone else to help out. Miller would be the one with Sylvia or Bate filling his forward spot. Usually it is done in sections and therefore 4-5 minutes at a time. It is not too difficult to organize. I just don't want a 185cm player in the ruck who is needed elsewhere.
