Black Caviar, what can you say? Possibly the best this country has produced. Untouched and runs them off their feet. I feel privileged to have seen her run. Wow. I just feel so excited and it gives me hope of getting another good horse one day, one that I can think about all day, in between thinking about my grand daughter and the MFC.
-
Wow. I can see why T$ left us and went there, they are just so professional.
-
If you read between the lines in the line I posted, I think I have complied.
-
Both Davis and Ward are fine young, honest men and would be capable of leading the new club.
-
I agree. Why would anyone tank just to get a player who can be stolen from you a couple of years later and then you are left with a couple of mid first round picks, who are 3 years behind the player you got originally. There is no such thing as tanking in the AFL.

Just saw the GWS calendar setup on the news and Sheeds had Ward and Davis beside him. Captain and Vice Captain or Co Captains?
-
His Brownlow year was sensational. He was even the go to man from full back on the kick ins. He would be outnumbered and or against a bigger player and would still take the mark. He was short, a little chubby and a bit slow, but a really good player for a number of years.

Redleg replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I believe Jordie Mc has been injured every pre season so far. -
Even if we did, he wouldn't know now.
-
Has anyone noticed the huge amount of new topics started daily. It seems like every thought gets its own topic.
-
It wasn't discussed at the AGM.
-
He likes you "ing".
-
Unless he is injured, it was a pathetic run. Hopefully tuesday will be better.
-
Not sure if I mentioned Noble Game at 3.20 today, sunday, at Sale. Should go close to winning. Man of Awe at 1.35 Tuesday at Stawell. First start.
-
Agree. I think we will see a quicker, leaner and more versatile Matthew.
-
Interesting there has not been much said this pre season about my boy, Michael Evans. I still hope that he can be a big improver this year. He certainly showed something in his few games.
-
I agree. Grabbing it off the pack and kicking the snap goal was his start. Hopefully he still has that ability.
-
And others like Flash of course are the master of the hard ball.

Would love to know if anyone agrees or disagrees with my point of how pathetic it was, that only Mitch Clark of the 8 new boys was interviewed and that his interview was moronic. After the formal part of the AGM concluded I would have thought the most important thing to do, in front of several hundred fans, was to see and hear all of the new boys for a minute or two each. Considering the whole meeting went 75 minutes I just thought that was pathetic. To top it off they deliberately sent the players home about 5 minutes before closing the meeting, so no one could have a chat with them. Some people came a long way and a few minutes after the meeting to chat would not have been asking too much. Great PR, pathetic IMO. BTW this was about my 30th AGM if not more.

Sadly I tend to agree. Hope I am wrong also.
-
Don't forget Flash, who carries the indigenous leadership hopes and was suggested by many to be Captain last year.
-
Is that a serious question? I was just pointing out that we will have some unhappy players in the group. If that unhappiness manifests itself in form or attitude or behaviour it will need addressing, that is my point.
-
Maybe we are much further away from signing/getting our new sponsor than some think. The leadership announcement was promised before the NAB Cup, suggesting we will not have the sponsor deal done before then.

I have no problems with the Coach stamping his mark on the club as it is his head on the block. I just point out there are going to be a few boys who will be upset with his call.
