  1. So the Hawks match the GWS offer and then he leaves the Hawks for GWS. They give away a number 1 pick when they can get him for nothing. Remember Hawthorn has said they can't match the offer. The AFL knows this. You think this will happen.
  2. Thanks.
  3. I think Sylvia can be traded if he insists on trading and not free agency. Might be wrong on that. Anyway your point is valid. He will either stay, or just walk to the highest bidder.
  4. Would walk into our side and is in carlton's best each week.
  5. If he is that good and we get the chance, I agree.
  6. Cough Gysberts cough. Cough Scully cough. Cough Tapscott cough. Cough Maric cough. Cough Strauss cough. Cough Bennell cough. Cough Jetta cough. Need I go on?
  7. Yes but MM will want Watts. You could probably get Yarran and Bell for Sylvia and Jamar. Bell is clearly nowhere near their best 22. They will probably try and trade out Warnock who was hopeless against Casey.
  8. Or Jimmy.
  9. Agree. You don't find quick, versatile big blokes, growing on trees. They need to be developed. I think we have now learned that.
  10. Obviously I am not expecting us to beat the Swans but I think we will play better for the rest of the year. It is clear that a weight has been lifted off the player's shoulders and as many of us said, our performances were too bad to be true. the main thing I hope that happens is that Craig perserveres with the younger and new players and gives them games. That said I want Byrnes at Casey. On Rodan's game saturday he deserves another couple.
  11. Yes as a ruckman forward for them. He is about 199cms. They are desperate for another ruckman. They have plenty of mids and will get more. I would still try and trade Jamar to them for Adams, who wants to come home.
  12. I think our performances will be improved to the rest of the year. It will be interesting to see how the AFL reacts and which way they go as to player assistance, if any. As I have said before, money itself will not solve the onfield performance. Coaching, recruiting and development will all play their part.
  13. Pedersen's game yesterday at Casey was great. He dominated the backline and set up scoring opportunities. He is probably just a bit below AFL standard, but is a handy replacement when needed. I hope that is his role next year.
  14. Feeling pretty happy with myself, for continuing to pump up Fitz's tyres, while others bagged him. I think he will make a player for us and one who is versatile and hard to match up on. Dermie was impressed with him last night.
  15. No we don't. You don't change for changes sake. You try and end up with the best Board you can get. Some are very new to the Board and some may be worth keeping.
  16. I hate to admit this but went for eggs while there was banana bread on the menu. I feel ashamed of myself. BTW the eggs were great.
  17. He just needs to get games. Should play every game for the rest of the season. Same with Jimmy, Terlich, Kent, Clisby etc. They are the future. Even thought Nicho was better.
  18. No the trick is getting him fit and finding him an engine.
  19. Will advise after breakfast.
  20. How does Byrnes get a game? He was hopeless last week.
  21. While he missed a couple of goals, thought Troy Davis played a very good game today. i also thought Pedersen was excellent. Josh Tynan had a good one too. Thought Taggart struggled. Gillies and Jetta will be gone at season's end.
