  1. That's true, but you just can't help but have the feeling that the major players will not be coming to us.We other than Roos have very little going for us until we are successful on the field. That is hard to do from our position. That is why the PP is not just helpful but essential to try and sway a deal. Even with the free agency last year PA got 2 good picks for Chaplin and Pearce while we got 1 far worse one for Beamer and Rivers. Even with us taking Byrnes that was a bad decision for us. I reckon we need about 3 PP's actually to try and get clubs to influence players to come to us.
  2. I have real concerns we won' t be able to get any of the major players we are after and may have to settle for scraps. That is why the PP is so important. It also clearly shows how hard it is for a club like us to rise up the ladder. The bigger clubs are always the favoured destination of good players on the move. Lets see how strong the attraction of playing under Roos really is. We will see.
  3. MN has been reported as considering Blues and Saints offers.NC tipped for Lions with succession to Leppitch. Bailey reported as chance for Bombers and would then probably revert to an assistant. Maybe family want to come back to Victoria.
  4. Apparently Cross was seen at Visy park today.
  5. Apparently the Eagles are already into him.
  6. You mean, am I the target of Caro's ( cupid ) arrow? That is classified.
  7. It's the easy way out for a mistake. Just say he wasn't developed.
  8. Agree. Apparently he has been reappointed for 2014 already. Robbo on 360 tonight was livid and he is a Bombers supporter. He couldn't believe that the top medical man at the club now has no culpability for the scandal.
  9. Do I hear an opening for banana shampoo?
  10. Are you pick(er)ing on him?
  11. You smell so nice after using it.
  12. Looks like Caro completely agrees with me. Her article today could be this post expanded.
  13. Wash your mouth out with banana soap.
  14. Not the greater question, the only question.
  15. Oh no, it's on the no no list of Nutritionists. "Banana bread If you consider that the average muffin or slice of banana bread contains more than 60 grams of total carbohydrate (the equivalent of four slices of bread), 20-30 grams of fat and at least four teaspoons of sugar, it is safe to say that there is nothing healthy about banana bread except the bananas, and it should really just be called banana cake."
  16. Unfortunately yes, the Lawyers for Reid have won. BTW don't blame the Lawyers, as without disputes, they would be unemployed, which I actually am today and tomorrow.
  17. You can and I will add, that you can go to the football expecting to see a good game every time we play and further, that we win a lot more games.
  18. Makes sense. I think that old favourite "ruthless" also has its place.
  19. Yes as to Court case, but I believe he also wanted the actual charges knocked out by a Court. Yes the AFL's conduct would have been examined. Agree on the money and face saving. Agree on the result. We have a Doctor of a club, who knew things were amiss, wrote a letter of complaint and then when he got no response, did nothing further, apparently. All the while players under his watch were being injected with unknown substances with unknown side effects. That is simply disgusting. He did not resign or bring it to the AFL's notice then either Then he completely sides with his club and some of its officials as they attack the AFL and ASADA and keeps working, instead of standing down. He doesn't distance himself from the despicable conduct of the club and some of its officials, since the scandal became public and I don't see any resignation announced either. Result of all that, he walks free, without any charges being determined. Wonder what the AFL Legal Counsel who charged him thinks about that. I am further amazed that the AFL didn't simply appoint another body, like a retired judge, to hear his charges. Not a great look for the AFL or for the good Doctor.
  20. No big surprize. With possible lawsuits in the air, Reid could have been backed by his Medical Insurer and they would go all the way to defend him and themselves. AFL caves, probably with a pay your own costs deal and a give us a great "feel good statement."
  21. Funny , you watch that video and you think he is pretty good.
  22. Good point. Chris has played 83 games in 6 years. If you subtract 2012 games, his best year, you are left with 5 years for 60 games, 12 a year, coincidentally the number he played this year. That indicates he plays about half the games each year over his career so far. I agree he should be in the leadership group and appears a fine person, but not necessarily as Captain. Me personally I would favour Jones, with JT and JG as vice captains.
  23. Agree, Pick 1 and Boyd will stay with GWS, who will add to their list with Buddy, maybe Martin and who knows who else under their billion dollar salary capWe will get a PP IMO, either at Essendon's or end of first round, which as you said, will quieten the agitators. A pick at around 12 would be very handy for us in trading for a couple of mids. Surely if Adams and Miles wanted to come to us, pick 12 would get the deal done, with maybe even a pick back to us as well.
