The real new news for me was an article yesterday that revealed that ASADA only had one person left in the Melbourne office. That revealed the under resourcing of the organisation. The fact a retired Judge has been brought in suggests to me that they are getting ready to go and want the Judge to ensure legal compliance with any action or methods they employ. It makes it very clear why this has been a slow process. Obviously the Melbourne office is getting support from elsewhere and that would be slowing down the whole investigation. I don't know what the end result will be, but Essendon and its players should still be very worried. This is not about time but rather accuracy.

And Hird, Reid and the Essendon Football Club played that card for all it was worth. IMO another disgusting action by the abovenamed. There actually is a law against blackmail.

I don't think we can underestimate the importance of a very good showing in our first game. IMO a good performance will do wonders for the player's confidence, like Port last year and a poor performance of course, could do the opposite.

This type of function has been around for several years. Agree with your thoughts on the MCC. It would be cheaper and have more atmosphere. I personally get a chill, every time I attend some event when the ground itself is not in use and look down on it. It is just a magnificent place.
