  1. Just for those who think 3 goals was pathetic. It actually should have been 2 goals. Our third was from a charity mark, awarded to Garland, who clearly failed at any stage to control or hold the ball.
  2. Hope he didn't see yesterday's game.
  3. Except for one thing, highlighted by 2 passages of play.Garland gets the ball 40 metres out and instead of kicking for goal immediately turned back away from goal and handballed 20 metres back and eventually we turned it over. That has to do with Coaching instructions or just a complete failure of belief. The second contrasting passage was Riley kicking across goal where 3 Dees are out marked by Kelly a first year player who runs forward and kicks a lovely goal from the 50 metre line. Why does a first year player back himself from further out than a 10 year player closer in?
  4. There is no more fanatical Dees supporter than my son aged 31. He has been so since he could walk. He has gone to every Geelong game in Geelong for years, even when torrential rain has drenched him, coming home soaked, but not giving up after another thrashing and even some Interstate games when possible. He has lived and breathed the club his whole life. Yesterday in the 2nd quarter at the G he started reading the paper and not watching the game. This continued in the second half. He just said he couldn't watch or take this rubbish anymore, that it wasn't sport and clearly was just too much to take. He is a sports lover and loves the contest of sport. Yesterday was not sport. You just can't watch that inept crap. If we are doing that to a fanatic, what are we doing to the others less fanatical. Unless there is some dramatic improvement I fear we will lose support. We have had 8 years to do something by ourselves. We have failed. We need help, simple as that. If people can't see that, there is nothing I can do to convince them. I have faith in the Coach and I would love to see us do the noble thing and get it right by ourselves, but we obviously are so far back we can't. It is not one player needed by a PP, it is about half a team and you can't do that without some help.
  5. Pick 3 actually.
  6. Not at all, Leigh Matthews never did.
  7. Can't you see that we live in a rigged football competition. Rigged by draws ensuring some get rich and others stay poor and need handouts. Chip will be our 5th player lost to a new rule, FA. All have gone to better clubs than us and most to the strong ones. Is that fair. You obviously think it is. I don't. We need help to become competitive. Those that think we don't, can enjoy another 8 crap years. I hope there is a club left at the end of the next 8. Of course there is no guarantee that PP's will make us competitive, but they won't hurt. We need every bit of help we can get. The competition needs us to be better than 3 goals in a game, against the crippled 2nd worst team in the competition, as it was on the ladder this morning.
  8. I was at 186, today I was at 187.
  9. They have had 8 years to find something from within.
  10. No, not the band, but the postion we are in. It would be trite to say we are devoid of talent/skill, pace, mental toughness and belief. Many of us have discussed Priority Picks and some IMO have misguidedly said that is a loser's mindset. Well guess what, we are losers. I was at 186, this was 187. IMO we need far more than a PP, we need several. Anyone who thinks we can get ahead of clubs like GWS and GC, who have been handed great lists by the AFL is dreaming. Have a good look at the expression on Roos face after the game. He is stunned and shattered. He is a Premiership Coach. He is clearly feeling helpless. We need to approach the AFL, with Roos and PJ explaining that we have had 8 years of this crap. That our donors, sponsors and members are at risk and therefore our financial viability is also at risk. This can't go on. What will it do to the broadcast negotiations? There is too much at stake. We should be demanding several picks to try and right the situation. Even if some are given on the basis they must be traded, that would help as we could use our early picks in the draft and trade for better players than we have currently, with the PP's. I am not suggesting this as a quick fix, but rather a method to make us competitive. I can't see any other working. For every player we draft so does every other club and generally we stuff it up. IMO without immediate improvement the future of this club is at real risk. I am not saying the AFL will give us anything, but we will have been totally negligent and derelict in our duty to the club's future, if we don't at least try.
  11. We need to stop this saviour pick mentality, it has failed us terribly.
  12. Thanks. Well at least he didn't get injured and got a bit of match practice.
  13. Think it was Taylor Hunt.
  14. Well what is the true position then? Has he played well according to you? Do you expect him to play next week for the Dees, on the back of today? I am interested to hear what you saw today.
  15. He would be a PSD pick.
  16. Those expecting Hogan to debut next week, can forget it. He is clearly rusty, not match fit and has had 4 possies at the 17 min of the last quarter. According to the Casey radio guy, he has been soundly beaten by his opponent, Fletcher Roberts, whoever he is.
  17. Looked like it may have been a troll masquerading as Tonatopia.
  18. It is clear that the Bombers besides the ASADA issue, continue to be a blight on the game because of their leadership. It is unbelievable when you think that a deal was offered where the players could have stopped playing a few weeks ago and been back on January 1. That combined with a No Fault finding against the players, which meant that they were not drug cheats but rather had been duped into taking drugs. Given the current state of play how could the leadership have knocked that back and instead taken on ASADA, the AFL, the Government and annoyed the hell out of the other AFL clubs. If it is not for Insurance reasons then IMO they the Essendon leadership are a pack of d-ckheads.
  19. He is ahead of both of them ATM. Certainly far more value than West.
  20. Looks like Ling is getting close to coming to the Dees. He could be the next Coach.
  21. I am with you brother.
  22. Barrett has just tweeted that the two first gamers will win the 2015 Brownlow after Josh Kelly wins it this year and Melbourne will now not only regret swapping Kelly's pick, but will also regret not drafting both the first gamers.
  23. So current rumours are Malceski, Cameron, Mitchell, Shiel, O'Rourke, Jaksch, Lyons, Reid are the ones we have been speaking to according to Demonlanders. I am sure that list will grow in the near future.
  24. Am told by a Carlton mate that they are heavily into Shiel and Jaksch (however you spell it). Both are Blues fans. They seem to be mentioned when any player's name comes up. They did pick up 4 players from other clubs last year and seem to have hit some form. I can see Roos trading if possible, with some of our better picks.
