Had some carrot cake the other night but, as I have put on a fair bit of weight, it might be my last piece for a while. One of the best banana smoothies is from the The Spot, a cafe in Balaclava Road near Hawthorn Road, in North Caulfield.

And back we go into the primevil slime.

You are right, we need to raise the tone. What is the true meaning of life?
-
Pure coincidence. 1 in 60 chance.

I would imagine we are looking at this and other options over the next 8 days. I still think JT has to be delisted and rookied, given his current prognosis. It would be negligent and probably unfair on him IMO not to. He will be under enormous pressure to get fit if he stays on the list, not to mention media scrutiny.

That sounds fair. Can we get Bontempelli appointed to their captaincy.

How many times have we seen a MFC player with the ball look to the F50, see no one and then go sideways, until the ball is turned over? If Hogan is injured and Dawes is one out, we are stuffed every time. We certainly kicked some great scores this year of 2-3 goals, even though we had plenty of the ball. What does that tell you? A forward line encourages the ball carriers to move it forward quickly, towards the goal. That allows the forwards to be free, or one on one, with the best chance to score. Yes we need mids and we have some, but we need a very good forward even more.

That "here we go again" thread make this one look like Stephen Hawking's private writings.

Horse racing actually prolongs the life of about 99% of thoroughbreds. People would know that if they knew anything about horseracing. Dressage horses can fracture a leg and be put down as well, should that be banned too?

Probably the most cared for animals on the face of the earth. Who told you they are forced to race against their will? I have raced and bred horses for 30 years and I have never seen animals given more love and care. Talk about a brain dead human.

Remember the payouts that go with delsiting contracted players. The club may be trying to make a profit and that could tip them into a loss. Clearly we want to use draft picks and also clearly there are still players on the list who will not take us to finals, but there is a fine line to be walked in the negotiations me thinks.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JEFF GARLETT

Unlikely it would be that strict. More likely he just needs to turn up at Court on the day. -
We will get no draft or list help from the AFL, as they believe we will win the flag this year.

If you talk to those in the know, you will hear that one of Sam's major problems is that he knows best. He appears to fit snugly in the " it is everyone else's fault " box. I wish him good luck, we let him go and he stayed until that time.

Agree.

Ah Dana, the only one with that name that I would want to see a picture of. Loved the X files.
-
I still think we will have 40 to use. Maybe 53 as well.
-
Well if he ends up being a very good player, for starters.
-
If we only take 2 and 3 you could argue that. I suppose Taylor would have had some involvement in every other player coming onto the list though.
-
I don't think there is any way we will pass on 40, as to 53 I am not certain. I hope we are able to use both.

Frost and Lumumba clearly did. -

Is it my imagination, that whenever we are chasing someone, it doesn't happen quickly. Other clubs seem to get targetted players far more quickly. For example we got Frost with minutes to spare in the trading period, also Lumumba took until the second last day and now 5 DFA's have been signed and the one we want is still unsigned. -
24 an even two dozen. How will we last?
