  1. Think we might all be a bit happier with our team this year.
  2. Wish I looked like him.
  3. Well yes and no. As others have pointed out, when he runs to position, he is often ignored or given a poor pass. He is not great at the hard stuff, I agree and that can be very frustrating for the fans, but not all players are. Hopefully he improves that part of his game. Where he is useful is in being one of the leading goal assists in the team, which he is, being a great kick for goal and around the field and a player who rarely takes the wrong option. He will now need to work harder, which hopefully he will do in a better Demons side, which we now have.
  4. Yes very nice article. It speaks volumes about his character and the support of his family. He has done it hard and that will stand him in good stead in the toughest aussie rules competition in the land.
  5. And you think that is wrong? Running to a spot where he can get the ball, is a fault of his? Sounds smart to me. Now let me think about that, run for the easy pass, in other words make position, or run to somewhere dangerous, where my team mate might struggle with his skills to get it to me, or it may be knocked away and the other side rebound and goal. Dunstall made a career out of it. Look back at the replays and you will see him Dunstall leading away from the pack and the ball carrier, for a soft chip pass. Got most of his goals that way.
  6. "Charlatan of the highest order Complete disaster for the MFC it was supposed to be $3m but he only tipped in $2.75m". That is what you said. Now answer your own post of 11 hours ago. I don't see any credit given in the above posts, do you? Even your last post quoted above, conveys no credit, but rather an attack. I would respectfully suggest that my post number 55 is a little more balanced, do you agree?
  7. BB I don't doubt that Joe saw a lot of publicity for himself and his businesses when he got involved in the merger. I also think that when he got the Presidency, it was also about him fitting in, in an area where Orthodox Jews don't normally get involved. So a lot of it was to do with Joe personally. He is a MFC supporter, but obviously limited in his attendance at matches. He was clearly head hunted because of his wealth, to get involved in the anti merger group. I just think he did a few good things for the MFC, one of which was a massive donation of $2.75m, which no one in the history of footy has got close to and he deserves credit for that. I don't think he would have enjoyed the election and all it involved, personal attacks, being defeated and sent packing. While he would have got plenty of good publicity in the early days, in the last days it was not the same. As many of us who have served on Boards and in particular Footy Boards know, it can be a thankless and stressful task.
  8. Hang in there BBO, it is worth it.
  9. You can't give any credit for the biggest single donation by any individual to any club. He had his faults but he tried and put his money where his mouth was, stood up to the AFL and presided over a GF in 2000. Not totally hopeless compared to others I would have thought.
  10. Are you on a mission to revive threads? You have done it on multiple ones in the last 12 hours, including one at least, that was basically finished one month ago.
  11. Far be it from me to comment on other lawyers, but for what he has said and the fact that he keeps commenting on the matter, he comes across as a real d-ckhead.
  12. Domo Arigato. Sayonara.
  13. He doesn't need to, the two female owners are part of his harem.
  14. Did someone mention horses, now you are talking.
  15. Wow has he built up. If his foot holds up, we could have a very good player coming back. Good luck Jack we need another Jack in the side.
  16. Gee, those ladies that own the Gat are going to get a lot of money for it. Biff, BBO, I believe they are single.
  17. Well actually they are two different things. 1. Taking the money. Agree he would have been stupid not to. I don't blame him for leaving, considering what we got, I am thrilled about it. 2. Lying to Jimmy. Disagree. Whatever Jimmy got wrong as President, he was a Legend Player of the Club, who happened to be dying. He deserved the truth. It could have been kept confidential if needed. 3. I add this one. Lying to the members. He didn't need to. He could have just said he will consider it when the season ended or no comment.
  18. No hang around, we cover a broad spectrum of topics, from fruit to property development, with a little footy discussion thrown in as well.
  19. Yes, the thread has bends and turns, just like a banana.
  20. How is the cruise in South America WJ, seen any possible recruits yet?
