Jake Niall on Fox Footy when discussing the Pies said " well the Melbourne game is a win."
-
He wasn't there on Sunday either.
-
Enjoy your banana led afternoon.
-
Not sure.
-
They generally take it up with the Umpires' boss on a monday review and if they are lucky get an apology for all the wrong decisions. Fat lot of good it does. Could you imagine if we were one of the big boys, it would have been headline news.
-
Wait until you get to the Goldstein free in the ruck, 20 out, when he is behind Gawn and puts his hands on Gawn's neck and back. The commentators were dumbfounded, as was our Captain. Take just that free back and we win.
-
If North copped what we did on Sunday, Scott would have gone through the glass in the Coaches box and then dump on the umpires in his Press Conference. We remained very quiet on the issue.
-
I do see the ones that go our way and am not that one eyed. Yes we kicked one goal less than North, but the way they got a lot of their goals is not that simple. That's like saying if I raced Usain Bolt in a 100 meter race and I was given a 90 metre start, therefore its simple, I beat him, without looking at what actually occurred.
-
Feel sorry for him and I think it is his second ACL.
-
The charge is that he struck him in the neck. Silly thing to do raising the elbow. Also unnecessary. However, if you wanted to run an appeal, I would show the Merrett forearm hit on Pederson, as Pedersen was marking the ball, which sent him from the field bleeding with a broken nose. That was deemed not sufficient force to rub out Merrett. No breaks, or blood on MacMillan. Also didn't leave the field. All that said, I don't see us appealing.
-
This is the first time Howe would be playing against us. Unlikely therefore to be dropped, but we will see. He was the second lowest possession count for the Pies last week.
-
Out Marley Williams and possibly Howe may help a bit. Then again he won't drop Howe because it is us.
-
That could be about right.

Oh come on OD, we were robbed plain and simple and every Dees fan I have spoken to since sees it exactly the same way. Even my common sense son says it was a disgraceful effort by the umpires who robbed us of the game. There were so many poor decisions and 7 goals given to North, that our mistakes pale into comparison. Marks not paid, 25 metre kicks judged not 15, deliberate out of bounds one way, ducking and diving frees to Thomas and Waite, 3 throwing the balls by North that ended in goals to them, a ruck infringement against Gawn, who was in front of Goldstein and pushed in the back by Goldstein, resulting in a diabolical free and goal, which the commentators said was just terrible, Thomas jumping into Stretch to stop that final mark, the scragging of our forwards, soft 50's resulting in goals, need I go on?
-
I think Stretch should have gone forward to meet the ball. That would have made the Thomas tackle on him look even worse. I also think that Bugg was on his wrong leg, but stand to be corrected on that.
-
Tell that to Pedersen who had his nose smashed by Merritt after taking a mark and saw no penalty.

Well if the players do read this site let me say the following: I am extremely proud of your effort at a new ground for you, against a full strength preliminary finalist, who have several players that cheat by ducking and diving to get free kicks, who had the benefit of more dubious free kicks in a game than I can recall, leading to 7 goals to them and with many dubious decisions again, robbing us of free kicks and even marks. I don't like saying this, but you were robbed of the win by incompetent umpiring that favoured North all day. I apologize to HL, who played a much improved game, after I called for his sacking last week and who gave us some run off half back. To those who made mistakes, I say who doesn't. I applaud your effort this week and thank you for showing us all, that we have a future. I look forward to seeing JT, CP5, Oscar, Weed, ANB, Max King and Hunt playing in the team. I hope you approach every remaining game this year with the same intensity. After the anger of last week, I am proud to be a Demon supporter again.

May be a witness as I saw a crime today. I witnessed the stealing of an AFL game, by 3 morons in green. A definite theft.
-
My son suggested the Chris Scott approach. Roos should say whenever asked, that we gave away 7 goals from free kicks and that he is going to ask the umpires what we are doing wrong, so that we don't let that happen again. Also that we only got one goal from a free and what we need to do to get them as well.
-
You think so. 14 possessions at 100% efficiency and a goal to put us in front.
-
Theft. 6 goals from frees. Many doubtful. Frees not given to us. Marks not given to us. Few mistakes and it takes three over 34 year olds to give them about 12 goals.
-
Funny.

Not wanting to blow my own trumpet, but when the fixture came out last year, there was a discussion on here about some of the games including last week. I recall being one of those who was most worried about last week's game. I know I should get over it and I will eventually will, but what the hell did the football department do about preparing for this game? What the hell did the coaches do in reaction to what was unfolding? What did the leaders do? Why were the players so apparently apathetic?
-
Yes 52 games plus is experienced. Guys like Oliver, Brayshaw and Oscar are not and allowances can be made for them. Disagree on the intensity. You can be hard at the ball and then turn it over, something we have done often. I am sure most would agree we are not a highly skilled team.
