As part of my push for an inclusive club I will include carrott cake as well as banana cake. Maybe even some banana bread.

Banana smoothies for the players after their recovery session.

We don't need a campaign manager, it will become obvious to the incumbents that I am being swept along by the great MFC membership and they will then annoint me. I am working on my aims now. So far I have decided on the following: Get the Dees to play hard, uncompromising, winning football, Eliminate the word culture from our vocabulary, Stop Carlton from getting use of the MCG as a home ground, Lower food and drink prices at the G, Get umpires to give us a fair go, Get 2 Priority picks from the AFL for this year's draft, Ban the MCC from banning anti T$ signs when we play GWS, Free MFC ponchos when it rains, Smash Carlton every time we play them, Win 5 flags to put us ahead of the pack, Get C Wilson to give CS a kiss and make up, Get the media onside with free booze at all MFC media pressers, Cheaper membership tickets and more freebies to go with them, Release news through Demonland wherever possible, Free live stream of MFC games through Demonland, Free coffee and chat with members at least twice a year at AAMI park following a training session, Create a truly inclusive club and to that end I welcome further suggestions, many more to come.

The Chairman will possibly go and probably should. Recent events probably dictate that. The Coach should be safe for a while, unless it is revealed that the players will not play for him. If that is the case he goes as well. On the ground we bring in the young players and blood them.Perhaps a team with Gawn, Dawes, Evans, Kent, Taggert, Tynan and maybe Spencer will be better than one with Byrnes, Rodan, Jamar, Gillies and maybe Sylvia.Next year we can add Hogan and Barry and maybe a couple of class mids courtesy of our high pick and bonus priority pick. We are financially sound ATM and it is the on field that has us in this position. That can turn around quicker than most people understand. We need to find out if the Coach is any good and if not he goes. Keep turning over the list. Eliminate as far as possible draft mistakes, ( we have a new recruiting manager ). Ensure the best development of our kids. Draw a line in the sand and start to create the right culture. The new kids will see to that if we give them the right assistance. Conclusion: stick fat, all is not lost, change, mixed with youth, talent, hunger and passion, can bring success.

Could be an interesting MFC Board meeting in the next day or so. Don looked tired, worn out and extremely uncomfortable at the CS presser. He may be about to walk, feeling he has done all he can.

That's why a lot of people don't insure their horses. I know breeders who don't insure, as they think the worst that could happen is they have one claim. The premiums may be bigger than the claim, so they "self insure".

I now expect calls from the media for the removal of the Bombers CEO, for presiding over the biggest scandal in AFL history. Secret contracts for injecting players. Young players being injected with unknown substances via the stomache and now awaiting suspension from their sport. An inability of the CEO or club to tell those players what they had been injected with. Clearly worse than the loss of 2 games of football. Come on Robbo and Connolly lets see you attack the club you support. Lets see the media attack Robson.

Generally a premium runs to 4% of insured value of a racehorse. Different for stallion fertility or mares in foal.

Now the Media are calling for the AFL to take over the club. Let's examine that. A financially sound Company, that has assets and makes a profit, run by a Board that is elected by its members, is taken over by the AFL, because it lost two sporting contests, Oh yes I can see that happening. The club asking the AFL for help, well that is a different matter.

    What about urologists and proctologists?

Sickened to see how right I was, even though I understated it. BP has destroyed this club.

    It certainly would.

I can see us putting up a good fight in the first half and then getting run over, with the Bombers 14 day break over our 6 day break being a big factor. After the battering the players copped I am sure their effort will be AFL standard, I am just not convinced with their talent.

I had the pleasure of watching him on ABC TV while I was checking out Gysberts' performance.

Great, everyone is having coffee and banana cake but me. Could I put this post on the "whinge" thread?

Has anyone been sacked yet. I am surprised that Rodan got dropped and not Byrnes. They both played poorly, but I thought Byrnes was far worse, in that he fumbled several times a few of which which led to Port goals. I still am not sure why we got him, there had to be better. Ben Warren who we discussed on here a bit would have been far better, much younger and quicker. I could never see the hunger for Pedersen. 2 games last year for the Roos and we were so desperate to get him. I suppose they all deserve another chance.

    Pretty prophetic.

I can see Demonland going into meltdown if we put in a poor one. Saintsational is probably doing that right now.

Sydney is said to have 1091000 supporters as of December 2012. No wonder we find it hard to compete with some of the AFL clubs in the membership/sponsorship race.

I think we will have between 6-8 new players.

Looking like we will have more new players in our first game than any other side. Tigers had one and Blues none. While in time they will add to our side, it might be hard early on, to gel quickly enough to win.
