VFL GRAND FINAL - CASEY SCORPIONS v FOOTSCRAY BULLDOGS

Either dumb or stupid, not sure which. -

Shows our lack of preparation/information or that we are just dumb. Jong damaged his right collarbone, but strapped up the left one, to fool Casey. It did. Players continually bumped his taped, but good shoulder. -

If true that would give us 3 days to do a trade. -

Who said you could climb on my bandwagon? You forgot to mention pace. -

Because until he can be replaced by a better option he stays. I am sure we will be looking for a ruckman/forward somewhere. Hopefully Mitch King will be an option. -
I still would hang on to Max King for another year, though most wouldn't, but hard to argue the rest. Unfortunately I think JT is also finished. I think Kennedy is not much either. I would rather back Taylor in the draft and trading in a couple of players with pace and skill. Something the above group don't have.

Well you changed the deal in your second post, adding a Stewart or WHE which I missed.

Clearly the Bulldogs, who all train together know each other's game. They are young and quick with good disposal skill and are showing us why you don't hang on to slow, skilless players. Goodwin and Taylor should have put the red line through several of our players. I now think we will make more changes to the list than many thought. My decade long hobby horses, pace and skill, have been badly shown up in our side today. -

Casey by 6 points at half time. -

Our skill is terrible. Grimes has turned it over at least 6 times. They seem to get the ball in the contest and then spread. We just turn it over when we have it. ANB is like a headless chook. Does some absolutely stupid things with the ball. We need to lift and get some clean disposal happening. -
A first round pick for Stewart. Not a hope in hell.

Well I got that wrong. We lose Salem and they go in as selected. They are stronger than the team that beat the Pies last week by 20 goals. This will be tough. -
Why would we do that? We might have pick 8-12 next year, in a strong draft and you are suggesting exchanging it for a worse pick in a weaker draft.

Lyons is not a priority for us.

Hope he has a flag at 5 .00 tonight and end up on our rookie list. -

Do you really believe that? You think a Manager decides what a player does and where he plays. You clearly do not understand the situation. You assume the Manager will stuff us up and we should trade Jesse now. Lets trade everyone on the list now because their Managers might not let their little boys extend their contracts when they expire. Wow just wow. -

Would expect the Dogs to withdraw a couple at least from today's game as insurance. Six day break and an injured Roughead. Would think Minson or Campbell will come out. Maybe Jong or another mid as well. -
At their kennel, when they were playing for top spots. We had checked out already, planning mad monday, on the back of the Carlton loss.

I am not a fan of Kennedy. Don't see him lasting long with us.

Why do you always think the worst? -
I recall a couple of us advocating a big push for Zak Jones, when he wasn't getting games at the Swans. Too late now.
-
Enright could not stop crying at the end of the game. Even though he has said he will go on, I wonder if he has had a change of heart and will retire. Even Jimmy took a long look around the ground after the game. Maybe he will also pull the pin. He would be a media monty.

I will be thrilled when he signs an extension with us. -
I can't believe that the Swans will let this bloke go, for a bit more money. Absolutely ridiculous. They either delist or trade someone, or convince some players like Buddy , Tippett, McVeigh, Kennedy, Jack, Hanneberry etc, to take a small pay cut. You don't lose a player like Mitchell. And they won't.
