  1. Aren't we all. Gone, then has come back...now threatening to go again if Jones goes.

so if you go again...will you be back again after flipping out ? You make Copperfield look like an amateur.

Great use of your admin powers there HT. Are you by chance profiling members? Is this a particular grudge of yours or do you just check for dirt on all posters?

I better watch my back

  2. Ideally the captain has the abilty to play around the ground some. Was always my thinking that even Neeta wasn't about to rouse the troops if the ball , indeed the game never came near. This was where Buckley shone for the Pies as he could install himself into the play and lift others. Bit hard to do from FB

This thinking definitely has merit, although BG generally moves around more than Neita did during his captaincy. Whether it will stay that way probably opens up a forward line discussion.

Edit: wouldn't it be nice to have 3 greens!

  3. You thought there disposal was good. I oved JR's kick to Garland which ended up directly in the hands off a hawks player on our half backline. Kick only had to travel 20 metres and JR screwed it BIG TIME! Col Garland did it twice out of defence too. Bartram, members side, kick directly to opposition.

SO what ignorence are you referring to Keyser?

    !

I believe he may be referring to you not understanding the difference between Disposal and Disposal Efficiency stats. I would never rely on stats alone (nor would any FD) however it's worth noting the facts rather than purely on our memory of the frustrating mistakes that we are most likely to recall.

FWIW, i incorrectly posted that he was 4th highest in DE% - this is not the case, however he was bang on the AVG, so I believe my point still stands; it would be ridiculous to single him out in such a negative way given the game he played and how much of the ball he won in those conditions.

  4. excuse me?? what has the bar got to do with CM's disposal...I believe the bar with it's many modern flash TV sets offer's excellent viewing and the quality of the drough beer on tap is excellent. I find that after a few beers the game becomes much clearer and easier to dissect a players good and bad features, Cam yesterday was found wanting in the disposal area of his game. hic hic

    :)

  5. Proving my point. It is quality not quantity. You are sucked in, just like the media, at lookng at CB's numbers. Watch what he does with it.

    it's disposal EFFICIENCY not DISPOSAL

Obviously watching different games but you should at least understand the stats that you are refuting as rubbish.

  6. Bruce looks good as he ends up with 30 odd touches every week. However, any genuine supporter who watches every week knows the quality of Bruce's disposals are rubbish

I do not defend CB ad infinitum however, this post relates to yesterday's performance and CB was undoubtedly one of the BOG. I was there and that was obvious to me and countless other "genuine supports who watch every week".

He had the 4th highest disposal efficiency of anyone in the team in tough conditions against a tough opposition.

  7. I emailed the MCC to qualify, this was the response:

"The club used to have a morgue next to the Bay 6 administration office in the old Olympic stand. The morgue however was not deemed necessary in the new development and therefore is no longer in existence."

  8. I guess Dermie, like others, prefer the "peaceful quiet emblems" that recognise their history and heritage: -

Could be, or maybe the whole poo brown & yellow combination has had a permanent effect on him.

  9. Not that i'd necessarily take any notice of him. Did he give a reason(s) as to why ? (Just out of interest)

His opening comment was "too busy", but it was more his overall tone - pretty condescending towards the MFC lettering and Trident - as in "what's all that for" . They debated for a while as Andy Maher really loved it. Whatever - but I'm all the more confident in my tastes when they differ from DB's!

  10. You're welcome to express a view. I'm not sure why people would have a problem with what you've said.

I really like it. And I did the moment I saw it. When one starts analysing all that's in it I can understand some thinking that it's a bit busy. But I can only go off my initial reaction.

As another poster pointed out, an emblem is different to a logo. This emblem wraps up 150 years of history in a stylish and vibrant manner.

    I wouldn't change a thing. B)

I agree wholeheartedly - couldn't have said it better.

Great "emblem", not a "logo". People are entitled to disagree.

A lot people I have spoken with also think it's a tad busy.

I think it works and I like it a lot.

So happy with the club right now.

  11. its a real shame his kicking is not matching his marking at the moment

Riv stats from the weekend: 12 marks, 20 disposals, 17 kicks.

85% disposal efficiency - same as Chip and well above Garland (4th highest in the team actually)

Funny how we dwell on the couple of mistakes - he sure wasn't alone there.
