  1. It looks to me that Jurrah doesn't like to do the hard running and to build his 'tank' @ off field training. So IMO, Jurrah has all the skills but little of the dedication to the hard work required to become an AFL Elite player.

I think he's headed to be like Robbo.

Yeh let's trade him then. Jesus Christ

  2. We need experience and we need some solid bodies. Wouldn't mind seeing us have a crack at these guys:

Matt White - Tough mid/fwd who uses the ball well. Tigers in need of a ruckman or key defender and a deal could easily be struck.

Brendan Goddard - Needs no explanation as to how he can benefit us. Would have to give up something pretty special to get him.

Chris Masten - According to an article in the age he's considered to be 'trade potential'. Don't know what the asking price would be but he'd certainly be able to slot into our midfield. Doubt we have any chance of getting him.

Brian Lake - Experienced, big bodied and does like to spend time up forward. Doubt he'll leave, but if he does we could easily get him for very little.

    Matt White? Really???

  3. Gap Frawley Gap

    Grimes Garland Gap

    Blease Moloney Gap

    Howe Watts Sylvia

    Jurra Gap Gap

    Jamar/Gawn Trengove Gysberts

    I/C Tapscott Bail McKenzie Martin

I could see Bennell in there as a Leon Davis type if they can teach him to defend and find the footy.

Morton might surprise under a new coach

Could see Grimes in the middle as well next year (couldn't bare to see that kicking out of defence again.

I've not included any first year players

Not sure where Tapscott fits yet

Cant have Davey on 2011 form but keen to see what Neeld can do with him.

I'm greatly encouraged by the improvement of former super softy Dale Thomas

Harsh but that's the reality of it unfortunately

  4. So can't decide between training sessions hasn't even looked at the contracts but after playing this weekend will decide in a day !! If this reporter is right surely he is gone. If he goes to gws he will go quickly no doubt and avoid mad

    Monday and everything else.

Ha it is certainly going to be a very interesting couple of weeks following our last game.

    Here's my predictions

    * Scully leaves in a G.Ablett type press conference- "I want to get the best out of myself etc"= complete fluff, kid has been in it for the money since day 1

    * Sylvia and Green stay

    * Scott Burns named coach a couple of days before the preliminary final in which West Coast will feature and lose due to his absence

  5. if the drug culture at the club is as bad as i've heard it is, frankly I don't blame him for leaving. . everything is starting to make sense now after what i've heard. . Schwab also trying to rid the problem, hence why the players backlashed against him. . we will never go anywhere that way!!

    Lol jesus christ.

For ppl who are concerned by this idiot A.Stewart I have seen numerous Melbourne players out on the town, by and large they are a very well behaved bunch of young men and are not under the the influence of any drug.

  6. For those interested, the good news on Liam is that his shoulder is OK - just jarred but no structural damage.

The bad news is he has a cracked bone in his wrist, which took the full weight of his body when he landed from taking that ripper mark. I actually feel a bit guilty as I told him he had just 2 remaining games to take mark of the year! For the first time since very early in the season, in the 2nd quarter he started to fly for pack marks again, so it's disappointing that that's what led to his injury.

So his season is over one week early, but given he managed 40 goals from 18 games, in a season where he was playing a somewhat different role, I think he's had a pretty good year.

It will be interesting to see who his coach is next year and how they choose to use his exciting talents, but hopefully he'll return for round one fitter and stronger than ever.

    Great to hear RudeBoy.

Was there any particular reason why Liam lost confidence in aerial contests? In previous season he's attacked the ball in the air akin to that of a pack busting full forward but as you said since the early part of the year up and till that unfortunate attempt yesterday it's been almost non existent.

  7. Will be interesting to see what happens with young Austin considering his latest set back. According to our latest injury update he won't commence training for another 3 months. Essentially he's already behind the 8 ball for next year. Nonetheless we need to retain at the bare minimum at least as a rookie. Have faith in Aussie he has talent.

  8. Colin Sylvia wasnt droped becuase of poor form he as droped becuase he doenst give a flying and was out Satarday nigh after the game. Fair call in my book

There were some other players out on the [censored] on Saturday night and they seem to be playing.

  9. Honestly if people really think there is confliction within the football department they really have rocks in their heads. Since 2007 everyone from media journalists and supporters have commended the Melbourne Football Club for getting back on track. To suggest that there is a battle of ego's right now is simply ridiculous and to put in plainly is offensive to all the great work Stynes and Schwab have achieved.

Yes the James McDonald sacking could have been handled differently, no doubt the Scully saga is internally getting on people's nerves and clearly Bailey is no sure thing to continue on past this year but FFS have some faith in the club, we've simply come too far to let inflammatory articles by the media destabilise us.

  10. We want to keep our compensation picks and trade our first round pick if we can. That is the real win for the club, Viney is going to cost our first pick in the national draft, this doesn't include compensation picks, it means if GWS take our first pick for one of th 17yo Viney will cost us our round 2 pick and we still have our compensation picks. I have posted this a couple of times we could walk away from the 2012 draft with what would be considered 4 first round picks.

I think the nomination process for father/son picks is before trade week. Meaning that when someone nominates Jack with their first rounder we have to match it and are thus unable to trade that pick throughout the duration of trade week

  11. Massive month ahead. I was talking amongst my non melbourne supporting friends last night and they were commenting that despite Melbourne being impressive they are yet to beat anyone of significance and until we do we truly haven't indicated to the AFL community that were the real deal. We'll have close to our best 22 out there over the next month and with a spot in the finals up for grabs we're in a great position to make an impression.

  12. I admire your ability to last the distance, you have been over this like a lampshade.

I would (and) have lost interest in it long ago.

    He stays or goes...meh

Trengove is on triple m at 5.30pm as well. Poor kid he's had to speak more about the issue than Tom has!!!

Makes it easier to admire him
