This is hillarious... im not watching the game but reading this thread is making my day.
It is EXACTLY the same as any of the game threads when we are playing.
If nothing else it shows me not to post in game day threads ever again.
:P

Poor suckers hanging their hats on a Freo upset.
Dont do it to yourselves.

Will he still be eligible? I forget what the maximum amount of games you can play is.
To be eligible for nomination, the player must be aged 20 or under on 1 January that year, and have played ten or fewer AFL games as of the start of the season.[9] A player can only be nominated once per season; if a player is suspended during the season, he may be nominated, but will not be eligible to win the award.[
Dont care if he wins tbh. Kids gonna be a star anyway.

Looks like we are right into him now.
Wonder if Essendon will be annoyed and play hard ball with us over him. You would hope there would be some good will there after how well the Hibberd/Melksham deals went over the past few years.
I'd be happy to flip the Hawks 2nd rounder.
Most likely scenario if we are interested. Dont have much else to spend unless one or 2 of our decent players ask for a trade.
Saad would be a great get for our team IMO.

Winning this is such an Essendon thing to. Losing this is such a Melbourne thing to do. Match made in heaven.
At least one of them follows the AFL.

out of interest, for the double up games, would you prefer more games against tougher opposition than bring in more revenue or more easier games that would result in a potentially higher ladder position but less revenue?
I know it is not black and white but in general
I would take the double-up games against tougher opposition any day of the week if it meant more money.
If we cant beat good teams we wont be winning he premiership anyway. Playing the lower teams might help us to make the finals, but if we are still no good we go out in straight sets anyway with not much gained.
If the revenue difference is big enough (so many variables my brain hurts), take the harder games and learn to beat the best.

Something interesting to note. Rivers post-game said the senior players were helping the kids defend. Then this from May:
Maybe, finally, some proper leadership?
I cant remember a player from ANY club who obviously hates losing as much as S.May.
Wears his heart on his sleeve and demands the best of every player on the field.
He is what we have been missing for years, and i wish we had a clone for the forward line as well as the midfield. Probably as close as we will get to having Luke Hodge in our team.
We should not have left it this late but that was a geat win tonight.

MFCSS say a 5 point lead means a 1 point loss after the siren.

This team doesnt have it in them.
Easily beaten the past 2 weeks by poor teams shows we have already checked out.
That and Goodwin.
Our season ended a couple of weeks ago.

What are you going on about? I’ve noticed a pattern with your postings, lots of hatred towards white people and men. Do you have a bob cut?
Also the most abusive with the shortest fuse/glass jaw.
Nothing about that post surprised me when i saw who wrote it.

Geelong have asked the question, if Viney signs a contract he will end up there. #ETthetradebreaker.
Even if the contract he signs is with us?
This season is just crazy :P

Does anyone else find it incredible that our next opponent has gifted us a chance to stick one last dagger into the supporters hearts?
Last match we were effectively dead. Now we wont be dead until after GWS beat us.
Season just keeps on giving.

its not another rebuilt - the top 6 players are fine - we need to supplement the list. Its players 7-38 that don't do enough. Savvy drafting and recruiting is what we need.
So replacing 32 players is not a rebuild.
Awesome.

We picked a team of runners and it poured rain .
Picked Preuss as well but hard to Mark in the wet.
As bad as we are it’s rotten luck.
Only if the club had never heard of the Bureau of Meteorology

If the employees of this club have any integrity at all, SOMEONE has to fall on their sword for this unforgivable failure of a season.
If it Isnt Goodwin, then it must be the board members or whoever it was who voted for his contract extension.
We will be paying for Goodwins failures for years.
Something has to change.

Perfect pass by Viney to the player on his own 20m out from goal.... Shame he wasnt wearing a Melbourne jumper.
Straight up the other end for a Freo goal.
This club is dead.

Lets celebrate the Clanger count... MFC 39 to Freo 24.
At least we are winning something.
Nathan Jones in 2021?
