Andy you have done a stellar job to date and now one would begrudge you covering costs. Funnily enough the very 1st advert I saw was for a company I sales manage for an Electricity company great stuff. -
Joel Macdonald missing from list?

Love the Adelaide Oval! Such a great place to watch cricket and would be good to be sitting on the hill behind the goals watching the Jurrah-machine flying for grabs (if he is allowed to of course )

I have some fantastic memories of Wonna and at his best you're correct he does offer something we currently don't have especially with his ability to go back hard towards goal from the forward press but will he ever get back to full fitness is the question.

Ya ya ya was at work... off to a meeting..... oh ok my sincere apologise for the mistake.

I actually think the Docklands is a great place to watch sport, both AFL and Rugby Union. I will be there at with my Dons "liking" girlfriend and I can't wait.

McDonald might be the one squeezed out and looking for a new club already.

What I enjoyed most of all, as there was a lot to like Sunday and for the season to date, was the way he used his body in marking contest when we were kicking to the city end (think during 3rd term). He is developing into the frame and learning how to use said frame against men.

But will it be at MFC... that is the question.....
-
Indeed they are. Had a good win over a battling Caulfield yesterday.

Yes we do mate. It is a great little club with some really good people involved in it. Massive in flux on new young kids playing this year including a bloke called Joe Kreiger who says he was on Freo's list at one point so exciting times ahead. We get a bit of a bum steer around the area as even though we play in Black Rock/Beauy most of the guys are tradies and some of residents have issues with parking and "noise", they want to use as a dog park full time. Even Beauy would like us out of there to use it as another one of there junior grounds. Feel free to pop in we have 5 or 6 MFC die hards at the club. We are away this week. Go ROCKERS

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Matthew Bate for appearing at Black Rock Football Club training last night. Was a pleasure to have around the place. He got involved in drills (sprayed a few kicks too haha), offered advice to the coach on implementing new/improving current drills. Was a great session. He stayed around afterwards and answered questions for 10 mins or so. Won't go into to much detail as most of it was light hearted banter but: He is clearly really disappointed to be playing 2's at present, he didn't outright say it but skirted the edges and body language changed when he was discussing playing at Casey. He mentioned all players are given feedback on areas they need to improve on when they go back even if they feel like they have played some decent footy. Finds it tough to go back to Casey (as most do) with the different levels of standard etc. Thinks Fev is not to bad of a bloke and offers great advice to fwds. Harry O is easily his toughest opponent and rates the Pies as the best defence he has ever played against they come and across and cover better than any team and make it very difficult for fwds to sprint fwd of the ball coming out of the press/zone when we win a turn over. LJ is a freak of nature and nothing ever phases the guy they all still find it amazing he was literally grabbed from the desert and dropped into playing AFL footy. Thanks again to Matty, 3AW and Brighton Toyota for the support it was a great night. GO ROCKERS!

Robbo seriously I have never seen a "reporter" who makes such bold statements then when someone questions him or pulls him up on facts back tracks so fast. I find him to be a horrible "reporter" in so many ways.

Good read as always!

All the best to you and your family.

I hope young Aussie can spend some needed time with family and friends and come out of the situation stronger for it. I hope he is back and can get some consitancy as I still feel like he has potential to be an above average player.

Dean Bailey, I hope you're watching

Ha I love this place sometimes! -
Have to slightly disagree, Mitch does have talent and plays some really good footy in spurts. He as you rightly pointed out though spends too much time trying to be a tough guy BUT I would love to have him at MFC . From the 1st time he played against us I have disliked him as he bullies us but he is the type of player who from game 1 in AFL has that little bit of mongrel we lack. Now when I talk mongrel I don't mean bumping, pushing, off the ball stuff it is watching him go into a contest head over the ball and wanting to get the ball more than most other players around him. Whether it is older players or our young brigade we lack that visible agressive streak to win the contest. Caveat as Artie mentioned earlier is the lack of development in the younger guys which only comes with 3-4 preseasons under the belt. PS "bruise free footy" is the turn Dermie used to describe MFC younger players in the week leading up to the game on SEN....

Phil Gould? That is left field... NRL people and promoting there game and clubs with professionalism?? Really...
