Liam Jurrah: charged, on bail and discussion closed for now
Cards13 replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thinking of everyone involved from the gentleman in hospital, to Liam's partner and her sister to Liam himself and all of the folks who have worked so hard in getting Liam to Melbourne (the city and the club) and who I'm sure will be working even harder to assist Liam in life going forward. -

9 "reported" altercation with up to 50 people, 2 injured with weapons and two 23yr olds in custody. No charges laid at this point. -
As long as Louis CK doesn't go near the deer after being in an alley...

Mitch Clark had committed to going back to WA and lookie what happened.

Stuie.... which hunt... spare me the histrionics, comment on what I saw.

Not bashing just stating what I saw. For a guy who had "influenza" and couldn't do the work assinged to him in his job that day to a compentant level it was disappinting to see him out at dinner that night at the Prahran Hotel. While I love his work on the ground when it is going our way, that to me showed the MFC leadership of last year.

AGM is a good time to ask number of those questions I would have though too Praha.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAMES MAGNER

Games given to players based on "getting games into them" or on potential look to be over. A number of bigger stronger types added this preseason across all drafts. -
Most of the Pies supportes need to sit in a "special room".....

We'd be more of a chance and I'd much prefer picking up Andrew Lovett. -
Not the decision that rankles, the way he went about it and to top it off his old man getting a gig with them as well......
-
From seeing Bate 1st hand last year, he ran a training session at Black Rock Footy Club where I play, he is a lot leaner than appears on the ground/TV. Glad to hear he is potentially even leaner and interested to see if he gets a run into the midfield.

wmth I thought most of top juniors played TAC before school footy, playing only a handlful of school footy games a year?
-
But they also need to realise they are professional sports people, there job is to train the way the coaching staff say and play the way the coach tells them too.

RB does have an inside line to LJ remember.... Maybe Neeld and LJ's version of events are different....

Ya noticed that as well. How long ago was the incident? How often do they run those courses?

Why is Syliva not training if he was playing IR?
-
I'm reticent in adding this but seeing Fev out at The Precinct in Richmond last Friday night, although there was no issues, didn't look like a man learning from his mistakes. I know it is off season he can do what he wants blah blah blah but a man trying to get back into AFL with his litany of issues relating to alcohol it doesn't add up for mine. In the same breath a number MFC coaches were all catching up, including Neitz, earlier in the same evening over a beer at a pub down the road.
-
Maybe this has been covered in another thread but why if he was supposed to be training/playing IR is Sylvia not training in full swing as yet?
-
I am assuming this statement comes from reading details/notes from previous training levels/volumes. Even though he would not have seen them it is an observation most would have thought to be the case. "4. Clubs volume of training was HALF of what Collingwood, Adelaide and St Kilda do. Players are nowhere near ready to play how he wants them to play next year and reality is this will be a stepped approach to get them to where they need to be physically to play AFL. They won’t be playing his game plan exactly how he wants it next year as they currently are so far off physical requirements." It will take a number of preseasons/years to develop the players up to the levels required; I think next year has the hall marks (win/loss ratio) of this season with a big step up the looked for the year after, maybe even the one after that. A lot of young bodies that need to be developed over a long period of time thus looking at getting mature/stronger bodies later in the draft.

I do hope so but even with a new coach I think it will be 2 years at least until the best is seen of Morts.

Soft pretender was being lauded as a Brownlow hopeful at one point. [censored]. So you blame one player for the malaise that rests over the entire organsiation?
