    CYCLING

Thrilling again last night. The 3 main GC contenders were at the pointy end and the Nibali Contador stare off was a high point. Nib looks like a grinder in the Evan's mode and might not be able to match Contadors powerful break away's on the hills. Really intersted in tonight as it goes straight up from virtually the outset.
  2. The AFLPA are one of the 3 I think have gotten off lightly so far. Where were the AFLPA, everyone’s favourite old uncle Doc Reid and lastly the player agents who all purport to have the players bests interests at heart and yet all failed the players miserably.

How quick were they going AoB, it was amazing to see 50, 60ks in and they were gaping for air with still so far to go.

The arm and wrist (and hip/leg) that caused him to retire were hurt in the wet last night. It wasn't the left wing he was holding in pain last night HT even though it was heavily strapped/in sort of cast. Was that Gerant Thomas? He is huge for Sky, last year getting through the race witha broken pelvis... he is clearly a man who they will heavily rely on to complete what was Porte's role for Froome now that Porte is number 1.

It was just nuts from the get go Macca, decent group broke away early and people in the pack just started chucking the bums on the road in the soaking wet. Nibali amd team were huge, Porte salvaged something for Sky, the rest lost time. I'm really interested to see how Richie Porte goes as team leader now... This is why I love the tour a day like that. Rain, aggressive riding and a big change. Hasn't the Shleck decline been dramatic over the last few years. Andy is out again and Frank a shell of his 2nd to Cadel. At this stage Movistar should have had Quintana in the squad although he may have struggled in the wet and cold last night. Lastly why do they not have elbow or wrist guards for wet stages to protect them from broken wrist and elbows and how can they not have carbon fibre shorts as yet that don't rip as easily causing less injuries?

How the hell is the team car allowed to do what Sky did after Froome fell again??? Seriously the UCI needs to pull there finger out.

Ah f me Sky's tour again, most of the cobbles have been removed as its to wet. Not much chance To attack Froome over 5ks of cobbles now.

Froome crashed early today... Looks sore on the left wrist and shoulder... Big for tomorrow with 20ks of shitty wet cobbles!!! Expect some sttacks on him at some point today and defiantly tomorrow.
  9. Armstrong esk Binny... We know how that ended.
  10. Keeps getting better from the English with Strauss caught calling KP a c*** live on TV.

Amazing finish, going to have to watch it again to see who did what but seeing both Gerrens and Cav both eat the road was not a great way to start the Tour. Cav looks gone and I'm sure will have a lot to say about it but his team went waaayyy to early and left him exposed when the real sprint came. Interesting to see Froome finish so high on a sprint finish... The Poms Fing love the event with huge huge crowds turning out in Yorkshire.

Ha yea true JJ he is the ultimate everything rider. Can do a bit of everything well but not 1 outstanding. In saying that he is only 24!!! Loving this already, old Gab Gate is in Whitby tomorrow night (the fish and chips were rubbish!) where I stopped in over New Years in 2008, and they are heading near Gordes where the goodly wife and I stopped in April on the honeymoon. Love seeing the scenery as much as the racing.

Yup watched it as most have said, nothing new but what I really liked was seeing and hearing from the others; LeMond, Kimmage, Walsh, Hamilton etc (who I have read of) but was interesting to hear from them in some more detail in some cases. Kimmage I loved! In saying all of that f the cheats, cant wait for tonight!!! Love how Cav has set his whole year on tonight, winning stage 1 in his mums home town. Will he beat the big Greip?

    Round 16

Uh-oh is it happening again for Norf.... Ps if Hawks do lose what are the odds of a Brendan Bolton lead coup against Clarko during the week??

    Round 16

Will Norf poop the bed again??? Here is hoping not as it was enjoyable to see Hawks implode that 3rd qtr.
  16. Jetta is a big out for us, the Freo tip rat will kick a bag. Pearce as the sub who is also a quick small forward who when on will cause us trouble as I don't see a match up from us against the smalls. . Not inspiring ins for us, Freo by 45.
  17. God wouldn't you love to see the books, where the money has gone... Wowee
  18. Oh ok total sense. What makes the most "sense" is the guy who was ASKED to provide approval for the substance (I note that in no statements being made over the last few days in relation to the Essendon Doc actually approving or giving consent that everything was above board) program is still in charge at the club and discussed as some kind of medical saint where as the likes Dean Robinson have suspended and sacked and totally pillared for the program. Total Essendon sense.
  19. So Doc Reid approved everything, and yet wrote a letter saying otherwise? No make a sense to me.
  20. Or a complete lack of faith in the 2's players. Looks like the writing is on the wall for the likes of Blease and Tappy.

yes I was the same Jack, really looking forward to seeing the little Q have a real crack this year. Without him I fear a Sky domination again. And of course Impey has denied it all.

    CYCLING

JJ the little Q has been left out of the Tour. Movistar are leaving him for the Vetula. Disappointing as even though he rode the giro he dominated it so thoroughly I thought he was a chance to push Froome for yellow. Next year he will be hard to stop. Sad to see Impy from OGE has tested positive for something in South Africa.
