Same, my hand is up for sure. Best part is because he is so reliable you don't even think about who will take xx small fwd, Jetts just takes it all on. Can only recall him being toweled up once in the last few years and that was last week against bloody Boomer.

Indeed but he does need to use his handball more often and not try and burst away all of the time. Second half he had a couple of turn overs when caught trying to burst from a congested area when he had Dee's players as handball outlets.

Watching it for a third time, Brayshaw might not have got a heap of it but 2 direct assists in first qtr and goal in second. He looked good in first half.

It always staggers me blokes like Barrett and Ralph continue to degrade themselves in the footy media. Listening to ex-players just take the absolute micky out of them constantly. They call Barrett "purple" to his face. Lloyd, Ox and one other were disregarded or totally debunked anything Jon Ralph was saying on Sunday radio. It was embarrassing for him. Yet they keep doing it.

One thing that I have noted all season is our pressure up the ground has been excellent, bar the stinking garbage fire of the Dons game. You know what this leads to, opposition players having to bomb the ball in long and high or looking to squeeze the ball into a way to small area where we have numbers back and can pick off/bring to ground the ball. Has been enjoyable to watch when 'on'. Allows the defence to get back and position nicely as we saw yesterday.

He played his 250th for the Crows on the weekend, 289th all up.. fair old record.

Watching the replay I was wondering what had happened to Harmes. Interesting viewing history on the Vids to twisty, "Teen Dreams"?

Maybe I was just being biased but I just thought the whole way he handled the interview (Dill) he came across as wanting a big club strong even and not to worried about the rest. He was asked a similar questions about the Lions and didn't sound as supportive, but again maybe I was just being biased.

Crickey let's not get ahead of ourselves, the rnd 1 and 2 games are barely in our rear view mirror. Would like to see us win 2 in a row against teams we should beat. This week another massive test for the leadership of our team.

One thing from the after matches out of the players was the word "belief". If they can get the belief and confidence up we can play some wonderful footy. Another thing I recall from earlier on the season, I think from Roos, was "we want the players to be bold." Today they made some really bold decisions, kicking back into a congested corridor or playing on in traffic but linking handball chains. When it comes off it can lead to wins when it doesn't (one example is Tommy Mac kick across half back agains the Dons) it will lead to turn over goals and losses.

Was a definite improvement, if he can improve the hands in marking contest (and ffs most modern forwards need to learn to take the ball out at arms length) he could be a real assets especially with that pace. Looks like he is growing into the season.

Gil the dill asked asked by Slobbo in radio this morning if Gil wanted Ess strong again next year. "Yes" was the answer. Dill was asked if he thought Paul Marsh was a gun slinger for the players. "You would need more bullets to be a gun slinger" from Dill. Arrogant, conflicted, myopic and letting down all clubs let alone clubs like ours is Dill.

Roy and Sakic must be in thin ice by now. That is 2 years in a row and Roy tactics leave a lot to be desired. Our goalies are constantly shelled and left exposed. It was said 2 years ago when we had the improbable run to the playoffs the system just won't hold up... It hasn't.

Now I hear they are going to be doing that stupid jacket/scarf waving thing enmasse before the game. Is that correct?

God that is terrible. There needs to be a voice of reason when they book in the fixture. Play the best games not the "biggest" teams supporter base. It is turning neutral fans off.
