    ET our history suggests that doesn't work. They have to be good enough (Clarry, Brayshaw etc) to push others out or they need time to develop in the 2s before they push older players out. I'm agnostic on the little carnt playing for us but if he does it has the potential to win us games we might not win otherwise is the reason we might be speaking to him.

    Yea they are in a different spot to us I think. They were stuffed full of old farks who couldn't get the to a flag. Harvey could push us to finals and help us develop further.

    ET isn't the idea to win every game we play not prep for 2 years time?

    Maurie for mine if you look at the Dawks you can see it is much easier to let other develop a player and then look to bring them in ready made. I've said it a few times but if one of our young blokes can't get a game before someone like Harvey they won't win us a game either. hopefully it pushes them to work harder to get in front of him. Not saying I could stomach him in red and blue but if he helps us win 2-3 more games next year... bingo!

    Bang bang and bang, the real keys to hibb are hopefully those 3. Our current flankers are not great 1-1 but keeping the skill level up with that trait could be massive for us. Then as you say release a Salem up the ground. We saw at VFL level some of his kicks hitting leading fwds from the wing on the weekend, before the grass took it revenge on his brain.

    I'd also expect he is probably running out of gas after playing a large portion of the season after being so long out of playing. Here is hoping a preseason based on explosive speed training does pay off but he does look a long way off.

    Even if it isn't all of our cups of tea, not all of us were around in the 70's EH so I'm sure there is some interest out there.

    Adelaide the city for Dusty.. What's that saying about idle handles? From a pure footy stand point if the Crows team didn't lose a good mid to get him then he would add a huge amount to that side. I can't see it happening, I doubt Martin would leave Melbs let alone for a city that is further away from his old man in NZ.

    It's actually going to be very interesting to see the direction we go this off season in player movement with director for Goody. Hibb seems like a good solid pick up, good age bracket to add in. Will there be older players like Harvey or a Thompson be brought in to add some experience/grunt to help younger team? If yes how that turns out will be fascinating to see play out. Will there be any interest in our older "NQR" like Dunny, Garls, Grimes etc and can we get any value for them that we can turn into a first rounder somehow?

    As a number have said it is an incredibly painful time for someone to go through, being early 20's and watching your dad battle and then slowly succumb to cancer is horrible. Watching your first hero fade away is tough bananas. Everything else slips to a peripheral concern that just takes time from being with your family. Think need give it a little time before talking him leaving etc.

    Flama pretty good from the coverage at North Port oval, he had a smile and was enjoying himself with his footy team watching the 2's go around.
