Morris is a typical journo....

Morris just doesn’t have the runs on the board for mine so massive grain of salt. If you listen to the MFC podcast (actually a good listen as they do ask the hard questions) Morris mentions he was taken to task over the Freo “story”, that was one of my mates at work who really questions how Morris is going about things. PJ was on the last one (what a man!) and was really annoyed by a question about is Goody a good coach. I would not be surprised if Morris is no longer on the podcast come seasons end, or earlier even though I’m glad the club is not sanitising said podcast.

Morris also wrote that rubbish piece recently about Freo “chasing” Hoges and Brayshaw... he also wrote the piece about Goody offering his resignation after campgate and then “slept in” when Goody was on the Dees podcast the week after. He seems like a typical journo..

I don’t think they are worrying about next week, the goal is to win tomorrow night but who to bring in the week after. As usual thoroughly nervous about the game but I reeeaaallly dislike the Tigs and hope we put a good old Melb belting* on them. Lucky enough to be heading along to the Chairman’s function for the second time this year, this time thanks to one of our major sponsors. *which is a 35 point win.

Huh? Seems really odd, Dees fan who supports the Tigs “business group” because the club wants to support it. I reckon he’s the bloke when we walks into these Rich functions everyone goes “ah fk old mate is here again, don’t let me get stuck talking to him..”

I don’t know Dr but it has really stood out to me this year players ability to break a tackle or at least hold off an effective tackle to get an effective disposal away. @Skuit point about rugby plans is an interesting one, I noticed at the game and in replay a couple of times at stoppages where it looked like we were lined up like a rugby defensive line, all on one side of the stoppage with North on the other side. I was wondering were I’d seen it before, Rebels game. Are we trying to play in phases, box kicks and putting the ball out inside the 22? One to watch.

Yeap agree, I was trying to spark some debate about, if invested wisely, maybe just maybe we could get a larger return with $11m than the $2m we currently do from pokies. Also it’s not like this has been in the works for a few weeks, both PJ and Bartlett said it’s been in discussion for a couple of years. They know what they are doing.

What kind of return would you get if you put $11m in the bank?

That money would still go to schools, hospitals etc without pokies, it’s not like it would be saved under a mattress at home, it would be spent and go to state or federal revenues. As others have said, pokies have been dragons solely to take your money. The fact governments allow them is nonsensical.
