  1. As a club we need quality users of the ball. Why aren't we looking at this bloke? Aaron Sharkie (DEF) 2025 National Champs 99 ranking points, 24.5 disposals, 81.6 per cent disposal efficiency, 5 marks, 2.5 clearances, 4.5 rebound 50s, 5 score involvements, 1.5 tackles (2 games) 2025 Coates 93 Ranking points, 24.6 disposals, 3.9 marks, 3.4 tackles
  2. I've seen Aaron Sharkie play a few times for Oakleigh and mainly played off half back but they threw him in the middle when they needed to get things moving so he can do both. He sets up the play and takes the game on and is damaging with ball and IMHO is better value that Josh Lindsay. He is what we need to compliment the other attacking players like Langford and Windsor.
  3. Wondering for those who watch more closely would Robey be an inside mid as an Oliver replacement? To replace McVee would you look at Josh Lindsay or Aaron Sharkie (who possibly has more versatility as could play across half back, outside mid and wing?). Hopefully allowing Langford more midfield minutes? I'd really like Fincher as a bigger body recruit who could play R1. Thoughts of Dovaston up forward in conjunction with Pickett also allowing him to run through the middle?
  4. Looking through a lot of National Draft social media it is very clear you can now buy good PR as a draftee through a few of these sites.
  5. This years top 10-15 are very speculative. Duursma good at all the things his brother was good at that were highly rated at Coates but that hasn't gone anywhere (not that he should be graded on that) but a tall athletic junior game doesn't translate to AFL easily. Hope it does as he looks like a nice kid. Robey good, based on very small sample size and a lot of highly rated players by Cal who have had fairly ordinary Coates and Nationals but given a pass based on small patches showing signs? Josh Lindsay - only left foot and misses more elite traits than he has? Archie Ludo tall skinny kid who clunks a few marks every fifth game who shows potential because he's six inches taller than an opponent not old enough to know to rough him up? Just because you have a good combine seems to excuse had a quiet season or showed some signs? Watched quite a bit this year and the value is in the later picks blokes who were good at Coates level regularly.
