I was born in 1990 so just missed him, I've seen footage though...looked a match winner.

4 points in the bag, but fadeouts need to be addressed pronto. Lots of people bashing Lewis... and it's fair enough. Move him to the coaches box and bring Gus in. We need to instill some confidence in Gus, he's our future not Lewis. The time is now. Is it just me or has Hunt lost a yard or two? Where's the trademark run and carry gone? It has really exposed him as an average footballer. Stretch comes in to that role for mine. Lever needs time to build up that matchday chemistry, Frost in to free him up. Really noticing the absence of Viney and Tom McDonald. Super impressed with Oscar's first two outings, he's truly accountable and reads the play beautifully. We've got a staple here ladies and gents. Clarry doing Clarry things, cannot recall a more spectacular first 37 games from a Demon. Exciting stuff.

Who cares, Watts inability to lead by example both on and off the field was a cancer to this playing group. Didn't even average a goal a game for a 196cm key forward. Next.

Would love to somehow get jarman impey or aaron young out of a watts to port scenario
-
I've heard from a source within port that Wines will explore his options in Victoria at the end of 2018, depending on ports flag credentials. Interesting
-
Aside from Kelly who will most likely end up at Carlton or stay at GWS, who else would you target? Lever is a star and more importantly a leader. If a player of his calibre wants to come to the club, you get it done
-
Our Clarry only needs 18 more disposals this season to hold the MFC record for most disposals in a single home and away season. And he's only 20. Absolutely blessed to have this kid at our club!

Predictable result with so many key players out. I am so much looking forward to the day we are out there at full strength, we haven't seen it this season yet. I reckon we'll beat anyone. Trac and Hannan need to play permanent forward, they are silk up there. Salem's absence has been glaring off half back. I'm in the 'play Trengove' camp. Give the number 9 one more crack, he's earnt it. We won't have a better opportunity to select him than this week, straight swap for Vince next week please match committee. And just on Vince, absolutely disgraceful leadership given the pasting our culture has copped in the media over the past month. The elbow to Betts head is inexcusable and will get punished, he's lucky Eddie didn't dive. I hope Goodwin makes him stand in front of the playing group and apologise if he gets time.

What's wrong with Gawn? Absolutely zero influence.

Frost goes at a 76% clip, Hibberd also at 76% and Lever at 81%. I think your evaluation was just based on gut feel, also the 5% disposal efficiency differential between Frost and Lever is misleading due to the fact Frost is a line breaker who takes more risks. Lever takes safe options when disposing of the ball which is great but it's a poor comparison with a player like Frost. I think the talk of Frost being a pure athlete is over hyped.

I work for CD. Can confirm that if a disposal is ineffective or a clanger, and the pressure is graded as a 3 (physical) it counts as a tackle.
-
Has he copped a hard tag yet? If he hasn't I daresay he will be very soon. Has proven to be absolutely crucial to our clearance setup.
-
We are so young, I know people are sick of hearing it but honestly our best players this year haven't even played 50 games yet. This takes time, we will become more consistent soon. Disappointing nonetheless
-
Just read that Sam Reid is out of contract at the end of the season as well. Some KPF help for Jesse would be great while Weid develops
-
Nobody is talking about Trengove who is said to have been best on for Casey over the weekend. What is Tyson currently offering that Jack can't? I'd like to give him one more chance.
-
Rubbish post. He had 1 clanger on the weekend, went at 83% DE, and didn't concede a goal. He reads the play beautifully

Lewis is livid that the core group of premiership players took significant pay cuts to stay together and Vickery and most likely O'Meara are strolling in on a base salary of 500k p.a. That's enough to make any loyal servant see red. Gone in my opinion. -
Whilst I can see the obvious benefit of Salem utilising his footskills in the forward half, I don't see the advantage of releasing Hunt up the ground. I would prefer him launching attacks with his acceleration off half back, with space in front of him. We will have a surplus of half back options next season with Hibberd coming in so it's a no to Tuohy from me.

Often defenders end up becoming offensive coaches as they have studied how to nulify offensive running patterns etc. Happens in various sports
-
Agree with everything but the "kicks like Buckley" comparison. Has a long way to go on his field kicking in my opinion
-
What do you mean by this? The underdog has won before
-
Fox sports are reporting Pearce Hanley is on the table. Turns 28 next year, I actually rate him pretty highly. He would cost more than we can afford but his run and carry would be handy

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JOEL SMITH

Agreed he looked great yesterday, especially after Salem went down. His attack on the ball and man was a feature... composed with ball in hand and a similar size to Garland. I like the kid -
The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here

Certainly not looking promising. He's a wonderful talent but the likely compensation should he leave will soften the blow. Two points to keep in mind are that we have showcased our ability to win without him, and Weid looks the goods. We have to be united - if any player isn't all in, they leave and we move on.
