  1. Hey guys,

i've been a general admission member for 2 years and am thinking about upgrading to the trident membership for 2010.

just wanted to hear from people who already have them. Is the reserved seating on level 2 of the olympic just for melbourne supporters?

what are the exclusive bars like?

what is the hassett room, and how does the meeting the players in there after the game work?

what was the premium members function like this year?

i'm basically just after more ammo to throw back at the missus as to why we should be spending close to a grand next year

    i'm already sold

    thanks in advance!!

  2. The other interesting thing is in fact quite a worrying thing that I know Jim has made a priority, and that is that we are quite high up relatively speaking on adults, yet near the bottom all up. This obviously suggests an alarmingly low number of kids, which augurs badly for the future. I think it's quite obvious from this that youth has to be a priority. Explains the Casey Fields undertaking as well.

one for mum, one for dad, and one for the MFC

    go forth and procreate...and brainwash!!

  3. aahhhh this has gone no where?

    no surprise i guess...

although having glanced over this thread before the brisbane game, and caught up in the emotion afterwards, i was curiously excited to see jimmy walking round the ground with his arm round a small indian tycoon...

however it was just Aussie's old man

    oh well...

  4. i also thinks its great they're being pro-active and tossing up lots of new ideas for ways to enhance memberships

one problem i had doing it...they rarely compared memberships with the same amount of entry to games

when given a choice of a 16game membership vs. any lesser amount, i would always pick the one with the more games irrespective of any of the add-ons they provided on the lesser game memberships

i thought they could've had one question where all three choices had the same amount of games, so people could determine which options or add-ons they preferred

that all said, i know nothing about statistics or market research

  5. if Bate plays every game for the rest of the season he could do it

my money's on an injury free bate

he's provided an important link between midfield and forward since returning

    very important player

    go the Master!!!

  6. With that in mind, it can be concluded that this thread is pointless and contributes absolutely nothing to this board.

    then why post on it

and what exactly did your post contribute?

and what did my post now contribute?

ffs ppl, we've won one game for the season

whats wrong with having a bit of fun

yes of course we could never have ended up with this team

who cares, its a bit of fun

  7. I'm pretty sure Archer was recruited from Noble Park.

    yeah he was

and i think he went to school at dandy tech

he certainly doesn't strike me as a caulfield grammarian either...

unless he got a scholarship towards the end of high school

  8. the eagles didn't exactly have a big hand to play when it came to trading judd

there was only one club they could deal with, and though it was unlikely to ever happen, they could've lost him for nothing

i think if he'd had another two years left on his contract, or they'd been dealing with a team that had any sort of ruck division, then he could easily have attracted the no. 1 pick

considering that the best you could ever hope for with a no.1 pick would be judd

however, purely for marketing purposes, i wouldn't give up natanui for anyone

  9. well its good to see the club asking for a bit of feedback from its members and supporters

and doing something about our low number of junior members and young followers in general

    it's a positive sign

surely having the most decked out junior supporter package in the afl would be a great way to get the impressionable young on board

go all out while they're young and keep them til they reach the age where they can no longer change teams

  10. that's just naive and stupid to think that we'd get that many members out of this... an extra 18,000 members in 5 years? you're kidding yourself...

well yes i must be kidding myself...i genuinely though every single one of those 16,000 kids aged 0-4 would instantly sign up with us...how stupid do i feel

i just have the feeling we over estimate the impact our presence in the area will have on memberships... as has already been pointed out, one's mother has an important influence on who you support... all these people moving out to cranbourne would already support a club, and their children are most likely going to support the same club...

well if all people support a club and their children likely to follow then why do we bother ploughing any money into trying to get new members signed up

we will influence some people to support the dees, but having a base at casey isn't going to create members out of thin air...

if we are influencing people to support the dee's then creating members out of thin air is exactly what we are doing

  11. I'd also love to see the club utilise some of our more presentable players & run "girls-only" footy clinics. They are more likely to switch allegiance than boys. Many of those girls one day become mums and mums are one of the key factors that determine who kids follow in the footy. Gotta think of the future !

    very valid point

how many times i've been sat at the footy near groups of girls pining about how hot Robbo is, then wondering why Travis wasn't playing (against Carlton)

Not that it's the only reason girls go to the footy

I myself became a dee's supporter through my Mum's influence

Whilst Robbo had a great second half last week, i generally find him to be selfish and useless

He can't take marks in his hands out in front of him or stay on his feet longer than three seconds, so we may as well utilise his other skills namely attracting female supporters and signing them up

Could the AFL and City of Casey build a new stadium for the low attracting games crowds, such as Melb V Freo, Gold Coast, West Sydney???

A boutique stadium in the fastest growing corridor might not be so out of the question??

Cheaper setup and running costs once built, it would also attract many local footy fans without an allegiance to either team

Casey has houses shooting up everywhere...no matter what your views on crannie are, there are impressionable babies being popped out everywhere

We need to get out there NOW and have them all signed up as members

Having a base in crannie would do lots to cancel out our ski slopes/mcc/toorak tractor driving toff's reputation ;)
