  1. Before Sunday? Well, given some other bright spark commented that the Milkshake will be available for Sydney this weekend, I don't see why not...

I guess that kinda prepared you for being picked on here at DL, eh?! LOL
  3. You're kidding!!! (I'd prefer he play for us!! LOL)
  4. I was wondering this, too. If Syd aren't all that tall up fwd, Goody may prefer to keep changes to a minimum. If so, we may already have sufficient cattle to cover the back half...
  5. Was nice to see Jonesy give Jarrod a special mention on TV just prior to the coin toss yesterday, recognising him as a passionate Dees supporter and what he is going through. No doubt it warmed Jarrod's heart just a tad to then see the boys play so well...
  6. And, Richmond are second bottom...! Imagine what they could achieve with Big Max as their Ruckman!!
  7. Yep. Bernie is good value. After the game on Sat night they asked him if he was allowed to smile, now he had a win. He had a chuckle, and said he still covered his face with his hand when he had a chat to Tex "just in case...". LOL He's one of a rare breed who knows when to give it all (before the final siren), but who can then lighten up and enjoy life with his mates, including those now wearing oppo colours. Well done, Bernie. VERY glad you're a Dee!
  8. It's nice to have good 3rd quarters and start the last with a nice lead. BUT, wouldn't it be SOOO nice if we'd then go on and WIN the last quarter! Less heart attacks for the poor supporters that way!!
  9. Question to those who watched the game: Did Tyson play inside mid?
  10. Yes, our club is an old and important part of the history of our great game. I love reminding supporters of other clubs that the rules of the game are NOT the "rules of Aussie Rules". They are, rather, the "rules of the Melbourne Football Club"! (So, why is it that the umpies so often get it so wrong when the officiate at our games...?? LOL)

Sure hope Michael Christian didn't see it! Will slap him with a fine for sure!
  12. What an inspirational young man! Very happy for him for what he has achieved so far. Just hope he can go on to carve out a long and distinguished career with the Dees. So, far, looking good!
  13. What's so unusual about that? That's why we have been losing all our games recently -- d'fence is nowhere to be seen!!
  14. Indeed! But, no doubt, Wattsy will be rapt for his mate, just the same! Remember, it was Watts who was one of the main guys who orchestrated that big hoop & holler at training a coupla years back when Trenners did his first running on his come back trail. And, apparently, Watts also had a part (who knows how big) in convincing Port to draft Trenners.
  15. Who says persistence and hard work doesn't pay off! Here's hoping he can get back to his very best. If he can, Port will be well served! I wish him well!
  16. "Grog"?? Great idea! Is it Beer O' Clock yet??
  17. So, if we don't have the footy success we all crave this year, maybe we can pull out of the AFL, and join the NBL instead!
  18. LOL. Tastes good to my poor, old palate, and the price is right. What more can I say...?!
  19. ...and definitely not the "full quid"...!
  20. Sorry, DV. I don't mean to be difficult. But, every time someone has a go at Collingwood's alternate jumper I have to shake my head. As much as I hate that team, the fact is their traditional jumper is predominantly BLACK, while their alternate is predominantly WHITE, and works perfectly well as a clash jumper... And, as Essendon now have a predominantly red clash jumper, we really have no grounds for having a go at them any longer, either. And, finally, as ours is now red & blue, kinda think the old clash jumper argument that raises its head every year is pretty much a non-subject this year... Yeah. I know. Off subject! Sorry guys! Back on subject, I like the 160 Yr jumper! (But, as stated earlier in this thread, my $300 will be going towards 10 bottles of 1495 Scotch. (Yep, I know I'm a cheapskate on BOTH fronts! LOL)
  21. TEN bottles of 1495 whisky!! (I'll drink to the nice jumper...! LOL)
  22. My memory may be fading. But, seems to me Dillon was FF, while Parke was CHF. When Barry Bourke played FF, it was more as a decoy forward, as he wasn't all that tall... Think he was also a little before the time of Dillon & Parke.
  23. Maybe he thinks Bayley is "home & hosed" for a Round 1 spot! LOL
  24. The irony is that now, with this guy on our list, some of the "petty" comments on this site might be serious! LOL
